SETI found ET, but did not tell you.

Recommended Posts

One of the more interesting claims made about the search for ET.

Featuring an Italian mathematician's discovery.

First, let’s dispense with some conspiratorial ideas.

There are people who believe that if proof of aliens were found, the news would be buried – probably at the instigation of the federal government.......

I believe it would be nearly impossible to cover up long term, I am certain that whistleblowers would come out of the woodwork.

With all the leaks and spying going on, this sort of secret would not have been bottled up very long. Certainly not over the last 30-40 years.

From the link I posted...

Experience with false alarms and deliberate signal hoaxes has shown that the immediate aftermath of picking up a transmission could not be handled in the simple manner proscribed in the Declaration. Consider what occurred in 1997, when a signal was detected that, for about a day, seemed to be both genuine and extraterrestrial. Because there is no policy of secrecy, this detection quickly became known outside the research community.

Within 15 hours, the New York Times placed a call to the Institute, asking about the story.

he made some interesting vids in the past but he seems to have lost the plot.  Going for clickbait, and hence money.

There are many whistle blowers. Soon as they blow the whistle, you all call them crazy.

I think I know the answer, but I’m gonna ask the question anyway, who are these ‘many’ whistleblowers?

His output does seem to have changed and is now more focused on UFO's and aliens.

But I think he tries to be even handed.

If I have a problem with what he discusses here its some of the technical stuff about producing hi-res data by using multiple analysis results, of the same data set, sent out to SETI home screensaver users.

He also said that the location of the star was being withheld ? yet the research screenshots he used is for Proxima Centauri, which is close. I assume the location information that can be seen is deliberately left in for the more observant. 😉

Just watched the videos, to summarise all three, because it’s amazing how so much talking can occur without getting to the point:

SETI has found a candidate techno signal, they have focused on the location and are currently working on verification and analysis, at the request of NASA SETI.

This is exciting for sure, but as far as I see no cover ups occurring, just the scientific community being thorough and responsible with the data they have.

All the people who work for the military who have claimed to see UFO’s. The ones who have their character assassinated the moment they do.

You thinking that’s funny GD is hilarious. Go ahead and name a single whistleblower who you don’t believe is either crazy or a liar.

Well, sticking your neck out claiming that alien spacecraft is here on Earth with no corroborating scientific proof... What the hell did they expect???

Corroborating evidence exists for some sightings. Evidence of the existence of the objects I mean. We don't know their origin and manufacturers on the other hand. It doesn't mean they are alien but some of these objects could be of alien origin. Like I said in other threads, if we had proof we wouldn't be having these conversations here.

Im not talking about evidence for UFOs  (thats silly AF) and I dont understand why you keep saying that??

Im talking about the clowns that are claiming that alien spacecraft is here on Earth - with no corroborating scientific proof.

This is an opinion they have. You should be able to recognise it. It's a possibility and they go along with it. And they are not clowns because they entertain this possibility.

I don't . I just ask very specific questions that many "whistleblowers" and their defenders can't answer. I don't call them names. I just disregard their unfounded statements.

Well you dodged Grey's question, and shift the burden on to me.

No matter.  I have shoulders.

I don't believe David McBride is crazy or a liar.

Now can you answer Grey's question to the same level of detail?

Yeah society is geared towards scepticism when it comes to UFO’s which makes it intimidating for anyone to come forward or to show an interest in studying the phenomenon. As an example, look at the threads on this board and the constant tension between those that view UFO’s differently. Now multiply that in a social or academic setting and the result speaks for themselves
