Confused.

Bench.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just bought a new laptop and I can't find how to get capital letters and was wondering if anyone on here can help as it's now getting on my nerves. I need capitals for my WiFi password.

Thanks.

Couldn't upload photo so had to use this link

Hope someone can help otherwise I'll have to return it

"Shift" like on a old typewriter?

@Hammerclaw What do you think?

Yes that's correct, I have the guy calling me back tomorrow.

I'm going to reboot it and see what happens. It's a refurb might be the laptop itself.

Thanks for reply.

You can reassign keyboard keys via the regsitry, if you can be bothered.

It won't let me access anything until I put my password in. It goes straight to internet password

Got my nephew coming soon to have a look.

Thanks for the help.

I'll let you know how I get on..

Hopefully he'll sort it.

Thanks again everyone.

Ok it was me just being a bit thick.....simply not used to doing it that way🤪

My nephew came and held the shift button down and pressed a letter and low and behold it changed.

I would have posted this a couple of minutes ago but I couldn't stop laughing 🤣

Hope things work out for you, these new systems can be a pain in the ass!!!!! Pushing the shift button or caps lock if that doesn't work, I would return it!!!

Peace

I used to teach basic software use to hospital staff and I always tossed in the explanation of how to use the shift key to capitalize letters because the staff we trained worked in the kitchens and janitorial as well as the nurses and other technical staff.  There was almost always someone who simply had never used a keyboard :)

One of the far left wide keys should be cap lock.
