I am not voting for any of them for my own reasons and I don't believe in magic solutions. I don't wish for Trump to die or to be killed. I will only caution voters who think Trump is some kind of Messiah as it is presented by certain groups and media. He is clearly not the saviour that many expect and are going to vote on the basis of their false perceptions and making america great again.

O don’t wish harm to anyone and in a democracy Trump has every right to speak and ask for the leadership of his country But these MAGA voters are certainly “very special” to place their trust and future in the hands of someone who’s track record is anything but stellar.

To be fair, the stock market under Trump did amazingly well so maybe there’s a silver lining to this after all 💰💵💸

Going back in time (let's say 25 years back)

If you were suggesting Trump will be nominated and eventually win the elections and become the president people would think you have lost it completely.

Something happened over the last 25 years and as we entered the new millennium.

What do you think changed? I’d say social media has changed things

The internet is one major factor in what we are seeing. Back in the 90s or begging of 00s the internet was either non existent or at its primary stages and most people didn't have a cell phone. The way we access information changed completely. You had to do a lot of work and spend a lot of time to be able to get something in terms of knowledge and information but quality was there. Now quality has been sacrificed for quantity and garbage information. People are affecting each other easily and with a click of a button.

…well there was a time when a candidate for public office only really had to keep his or hers indiscretions outta the papers and it like ‘never happened ‘ now days politicians can directly connect with the electorate. But what has amazed me is the amount of social media that’s just newsfare. Bot accounts that attack others and you get up keep your hands clean and deny it all. Reputations made and broken over what someone posts. No accountability and the only thing to worry about is selling yourself. Hence Trump the salesman’s success

Interestingly almost all that happened after January 2020...

It's almost as if something horrible happened on a world wide scale in that year. (Ah, that's right, Covid was Trump's fault too. The EU had none of these troubles. Sigh...)

I'd post a bunch of links and graphs showing per-2020, but its never stopped the Trump anger, so I won't.

Gavin Newsome is one to talk, with his State in the problems it is in. Cost of living is such that people are living three family's to a house. Homeless capital of the nation. Education rates in the toilet. The fastest population (and business) losing state... And on and on...

So the U.S. under Trump put on 8trillion in debt in 2020 and the criminals decided Covid was the perfect time to gangster and trade deficit rose 40% even though there was no trade to speak about. Don’t you think you’re over exaggerating?

Its interesting that you post, "Reputations made and broken over what someone posts.", and then, "No accountability...". Isn't having your reputation made or broken actually very public accountability?

What you mean, I think, is that DESPITE Trump being a horrible person, who lies, cheats, and such... He's not being negatively hit. Which is true. But, it's because, not of who he is, but what he represents. Symbolism is what is going on here, not a personality test. Conservatives, despite being called all kinds of names, or more Pragmatic than Liberals. Liberals get fixated on each persons personal variables... What color is their skin? What sexual organ do they have? What gender do they see themself as? What do they think of the horrors of capitalism.

Man I’m like a simple dude and not a very smart one either. So I struggle sometimes to keep up with all you smarties so excuse my confusion.

You say Trump put the US 8 trillion in debt. Care to give those numbers for Biden the past 4 year?

Trump added $8.4 trillion to the national debt: Analysis (thehill.com)

Quote

“Of the $8.4 trillion President Trump added to the debt, $3.6 trillion came from COVID relief laws and executive orders, $2.5 trillion from tax cut laws, and $2.3 trillion from spending increases, with the remaining executive orders having costs and savings that largely offset each other,” budget experts with the CRFB wrote in a summary of the report.

Half the spending was on Covid relief.

The problems with a trade deficit are...

  • The danger of unemployment, which we didn't see.
  • The danger of inflation, which we didn't see.
  • The danger of increased debt, which Trump did act just like a Democrat, so National Debt increases, I do say he screwed us. Just like a Democrat.
  • The danger of hurting stock prices, which we didn't see.

So... He did have a Trade War with China, and did have a huge increase in the trade deficit, but... There didn't appear to be any real damages, other then Debt, which everyone has been ignoring for a decade anyway.

Happy to mate

Biden added 4.3 trillion. About half of what Trump added and kick started the economy after Covid. Very impressive if you ask me

Thanks for the read. Doesn’t change the fact that Trump added double than what Biden did

But less than under Obama? Was Obama so bad on crime?

It's great it has been going down. I believe I've seen graphs were Property Crime has gone way up under Biden though.

All crime is way, way down since the 1990's under Clinton. Trump didn't preside over some kind of super high spike of crime.

Interesting graph and I don’t doubt the figures. The comparison is Trump and Biden.
