I think you are somewhat right. Trump was the target and the bullet drew blood but not death. Anyway you look at it, life experience tells me the man has luck if nothing else and luck is a form of divinity as far as I’m concerned

Turning your back on religion isn't the same thing as turning your back on God. All of the prophets turned their backs on certain aspects of the religion of their day and were killed for it. But because of that, people of strong faith recognized the truths they proclaimed. Which then advanced many things (and not just things regarding religion) which might be the very thing that's happening in our world today.
