The rejection of Populism was quite sudden and decisive in the UK and France. It looks like it is happening in the US as well. Most people would like to see positive action to improve life: they like to get on with their neighbours, and like being prosperous. They are getting sick and tired of the protests, complaints, riots and endless victimhood of Populism.

Harris campaign announces all-time record fundraising in first 24 hours of candidacy

Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign announced it has raised $81m over the past 24 hours from hundreds of thousands of donors, most of whom were giving for the first time in this election.

The haul is the most money brought in by any candidate ever over a 24-hour period, her campaign said, and includes funds raised by the campaign, joint fundraising committees and the Democratic National Committee. More than 880,000 donors contributed, 60% of whom were making their first donation of the 2024 election cycle.

“The historic outpouring of support for Vice President Harris represents exactly the kind of grassroots energy and enthusiasm that wins elections,” Harris for president spokesperson Kevin Munoz said.

It's what happens when you run a complete incompetent and then replace them with someone not as incompetent. All the people who have been avoiding donating and probably would have donated by now if it was not Joe Biden are now getting their money in. It's like running a three day fundraiser, then the next year holding a 1 day fundraiser and claiming you are getting record donations because you got two days worth of donations in 1 day. Sure it's a single day record, but they end up behind in the scheme of things...

Your comments are ridiculous MAGA Link, you sound like a child that was sent to be without dinner, dam childish. But I would frightened if I were also, because the grassroots support she is receiving was not expected at least by me. I hope Trump backs down from the debate, it’s already obvious he is nervous about debating her, so if he backs out that will certainly prove it, and it will also be the beginning of his inevitable downfall.

In reality I don’t care who runs against Trump except for Biden. Because, if he loses this time you can stick a fork in him he is done!

I'm not frightened. Kamala is perhaps the only possible candidate in America less liked than Joe Biden. The only thing going for her is her age. She was never chosen by the American people. In 2020 she got less than 5% of the primary before bowing out to eventual winner Joe. Joe then chose her as a diversity hire because of the colour of her skin. Now she's running as the like next democrat candidate without ever being chosen by the American people. Do you really think Kamala would be the democrat nominee if Joe Biden stepped down 12 moths ago (you don't need to answer that, I already know the answer).

You know they said that about Trump in the lead up to his debate with Biden. People literally on this forum linked articles suggesting that until Donald Trump physically turns up, he should be considered a no-show. I daresay you clicked "like" on a few of those. Keep pretending that Trump is scared of Biden, oh wait, sorry, scared of Harris. When he wipes the floor with her and they need to replace her with Gavin Newsome or Pete Buttigieg (a not-diversity hire who might actually give Trump a run for his money) you'll just say Trump should have a debate with Newsome and then he'll be too scared to confront him

If you lived in Pennsylvania, a swing state, and saw the commercials the past week that focused only on Biden that have been pulled off the air, I'd say they aren't behind.  When you watch a show on live TV, there was legit an anti-Biden commercial during every break.  They had to scrap every single one, and create a new one.  And I'll tell you right now, they don't hit hard.  The commercials are trying to say Kamala was in charge.  My wife and I saw them for the first time tonight.  We agreed the Biden commercials were cringy, but the new ones are just pathetic.  And cost millions.

She has two things going for her, she will attract the minority vote and she will appeal to women especially since the Republican Party has take control of a women’s body with their birth control policies.

Until the Trump/Biden debate everyone (ie, anti-Trumpers) was saying the same thing about Trump and Biden, including claiming that Trump would be a no-show at the Biden debate (there's no way Trump is going to debate Biden for 90 minutes, there's just no way he could handle it). I reckon you even clicked like on a few posts claiming Trump would run away from the Biden debate, I can go and do some searches if you really like but my bet is on you saying the same thing about Joe Biden (or at least agreeing with people who were saying the same thing about the debate with Biden). It's exactly the same rhetoric, cut-and-paste wholesale but replacing Joe Biden's name with Kamala Harris

I started no threads on the topic and I clicked no links that i remember, what happened to Biden is what I expected all along. However, Harris isn’t Biden she’s not mentally incapacitated so I don’t believe that Trump will get off so easy. She has something to prove and I believe she will kick the old fat man in the nuts!

I too don't know enough about what Harris has been up to these past three years.  How's the border crisis shaping up - wasn't she in charge of that?  Eight million illegal immigrants - is that a success, something she can be proud of?  What else has she achieved?

As for your point about debates - Trump might indeed struggle if she starts on one of her unscripted meanderings, e.g.:

I wish they would fact check these debates during the process, I am aware it would be very complicated, maybe not even possible but it would keep both candidates on their toes.
