Not so sure about what changes you are mentioning. Because they sure didn't help Reagan. Hinckley got far closer than Oswald

So you see presidents driving around in convertibles with SS agents jogging behind the car now?  Lincoln walked to Ford Theater unescorted.  There have been changes.  Watch footage of Reagan being shot his guards were all over him as soon as Shots fired and he was loaded into the car which drove away in about 2 seconds

In some protective services divisions, it's been tried and it didn't really make a difference. That's why some standards have been changed over the years.

This picture makes it pretty obvious that only one of these people could not have protected him from a head shot.

So you admit it's tough to cover a president while he's in a car driving? Good. Let's not make this about the JFK disaster though.

It's really not the scenario dependent though. It's that you alleged there were changes to protective service operations. I merely highlighted that clearly those alleged changes still did not protect a president as an armed individual got into close proximity to the principal and take a potentially fatal shot.

From the one shooter's angle. However, if someone else were positioned in a way to create a triangulation of fire, none of them could prevent a head shot. See, this is why a I recommend you do a little more research on how protective services work. I do appreciate you trying pretend that you're not being influenced to believe a narrative.

But how many presidents have been killed since Kennedy? It was dumb luck that trump is alive.

Zero. However, Reagan could very well have died from his injuries. I think it had more to do with modern medicine than updates to security protocols that saved him. If it had been 80 years earlier, it would have been McKinley all over again.

It's dumb luck that I'm alive. Poor shots are poor shots. That kid was obviously as poor a shot as the insurgent who shot at me and totally missed.

Thank you for that, I do appreciate it.

By her own testimony she is very hands off to the point where she seemed very unaware of much of what goes on at the secret service so the Barney Fife brigade having the assignment is 100% due to her lack of diligence and ignorance.

The director might personally sign off on all the aspects of every single protective plan, but I doubt it.

There's little protection from on the ground mistakes. Could have a perfect plan drawn up, but if people don't execute it in the moment, it doesn't matter.

They did not get him up off the ground from under their dogpile until they heard that the shooter was down and it was safe to evacuate.  But they should not have fooled around while he says twice, "Let me get my shoes". Chrisssakes, can't someone fill in for Walt Nauta? And then at his behest, they stopped with him fully exposed.  They should have got him  to the vehicle ASAP.  That was a failure too.  Their first priority is to protect the president not provide  photo ops.

You could watch her not know the answer to any question to see what I mean if you'd like.

Most of the presidential murders happened so fast that the secret service couldn't even shield the target....  Lincoln, Garfield, Kennedy, and McKinley.

Hard for the Secret Service to protect Lincoln.
They were established after Lincoln's assassination.

It is well known that all secret service agents have an abysmally low IQ. At least that is what they pretend to have. They also are very bad liars; or so they pretend to be.

That's what I thought.  They did not hustle him out fast enough and there were a lot of people pointing things (cameras) at him.

Good. Regardless of the partisan chatter surrounding this. The facts that highlight significant failures by the department clearly show that someone in a position of managing authority needed be held responsible.

Cheetos are his jam. He's literally covered in Cheeto dust.

Did you know that the orange cheese "powder" on Cheetos is called "Cheetle"?

How weird, right?

I feel sorry for her myself. There were enough personnel on site to do their job right and her men let her down.

I'm glad you said something. You're the only other person to speak up about it. I feel sorry for her, too.

Not sure if it's for all the same reasons, but mostly enough.

I think she was placed in way over her head on purpose and was used unwittingly. It appeared the dead and the wounded weighs heavily on her heart and mind. She appeared to be trying so hard to be forthcoming while dancing around the FBI investigation involvement - unable to answer all questions. I saw fear and a broken heart.

If she is truly an innocent pawn in a wicked game, I sure hope she doesn't delete herself. I hope she doubles down an investigates all the shennanigans and gets to the truth of the sheet storm - without getting liquidated by the guilty.

I just have a gut feeling that she is not complicit - but unwittingly used as a nefarious pawn.

Not coy or bashful just don't care about knee jerking in a hurry.

Your one reply made two mentions of her basically being in a position she couldn't handle and then you seem heading towards some CT rabbit hole.
What "nerferious" pawn would that be?
So if a person used her put her in over her head who was the person who hired her? You are basically shifting blame from her to that entity that hired her.
Sort of a case of if I give a monkey a gun and it shoots someone whose at fault.

Okay I'll wait for you to reply before I babble more.

It was a set-up folks. That's why she resigned. She wasn't on top of her own service scheming with team Trump

Has anyone seen the actual part of Trump's ear that he allegedly lost? where he got the pecker? No, just a big bandage and when he takes it off it will have magically healed without leaving any trace of the shot

the waters of truth have been so muddied, our individually biased pursuits of truths have been so manipulated.... will we ever know truth again?... or has the game been exposed and emboldened.

(there's some of that babble you wanted @the13bats. lol)
