I must say, I’m not sure I like Harris’ idea of GIVING people $25,000 toward a down payment for a house.  . money doesn’t grow on Uncle Sammy trees?       The days of single family houses in and near Cities may be coming to an end?    The American dream needs a rethink? It doesn’t seem to make $ense anymore?     I bought this 10 acres in 1974 for $5000…& built this tiny house, on a basement, with my own hands in the summer of 1976 for about $4500 !   = $9500.   (less than the average rent for one year now).        (Oh, plus the well cost $900 back in 1974.).  I dug the septic tank & dry well, & well pit/pump& tank holes …BY HAND !   :P

Man! Where are you at? Rents here range from $1200 for a old run down studio, to about $2500 for a three bedroom.

Within the Portland metro area, about 40% to 50% of what you are buying is the property the house sits on. Tiny little plots of land are crazy expensive. Of a $400k house, between $150k and $200k is the value of the dirt.

Buying acreage is extremely hard. Anything over 5 acres here runs over a million dollars. Even if there's just a tiny house.

The only cheap property is around two hours away into the wilderness of the Cascades, or Coast Range.

Then you haven't been paying attention

Dude. I've been paying attention since my first presidential vote in 1988. ( Sorry if you are a she/her no offence ) George HW Bush was a war loving neo-con. And Michael Dukakis was just a liberal weenie. Both, not fit for office.  Like it or not, voting for president is voting for the lesser of two evils. No need in trying to defend your pick's every past decision or vote. They all regret many of them.

The only one that I have solidly thrown my support behind was Ron Paul. Ron Paul was the answer that most people didn't want to hear. If not, pick your poison.

I actually considered myself a "Ron Paul" Libertarian for a moment, then the Tea Party infiltrated it and ruined the whole damned thing.

Meh that's life...but I damned sure won't ever consider myself as a sworn down to the bone Democrat or Republican.

2 teams, easily manipulated.

Ron Paul's opinions were never  " Wild".  They are actually quite sound.   Many folks want to revise the US Constitution. Many think that it is fluid and think that it should be revised.

They are wrong.

Hmm. I'm quite in favor of some of the revisions that have been made to the Constitution.

Would you go so far as to say it was designed to be... amended?

I'm pretty sure that trumps plan will be to negotiate peace by allowing putin to keep some of the territory he has gained.

The people and the military will not allow Zelensky to sign the surrender of four regions or freeze the conflict. The military will say, what did we fight for? So Zelensky will not sign any unfavorable agreement and then if Trump stops military support, he will remain hoping for help from the EU. But then Trump will also be criticized because he is weakening Europe and giving Putin a chance. After all, then other strong countries like China will see that it is possible to use the law of the strong.

DJT’s 34 felony count sentencing is currently scheduled for September in New York State court.

This is the first time in American history that we’ve seen such a scenario unfold.

They’ll say ‘he was rambling,’”   Trump told the crowd.   “I don't ramble. I’m really a smart guy, you know, really smart. I don’t ramble.”         He was in North Carolina when he said that…or was it Pennsylvania?  OhWell, he’ll figure it out, he’s really smart.

Musk interview, tRumpy was babbling, slurring, lisping,  rambling incoherent couldnt keep on a thought, an expert told me he shows sighs of mental issues, really bad some would say with such mental issues he should step down.
