Your evasion is ridiculous.

I would say the same for your knowledge levels.

Prana is

@Piney is this another one of those threads where I'll need to westernize eastern concepts again?

I'll get the shovel. Because you're in some deep sh.. right now.

Actually, I am surprised that these guys lack even elementary knowledge, even ignorant of their ignorance, and blocking attempts at a knowledgeable discussion of the same.

This is why the forum has not had any proper indepth investigations into truth, though its purpose is said to be the same. Without the truth , it is hard to set the proper course and obviously false courses must have appropriate results.

Maybe.

I just want to know his certifications considering the amount of insults, he's probably another one that spreads the teachings without putting in the work.

No the real issue is that they do have deep knowledge. You're just unwilling to answer basic questions. There is nothing mystical going on.

No problem. The Japanese concepts you helped me figure out are fully Anglicized.

I'm glad. Going off of memory, yoga was originally for the warrior caste I think. Basically mind-body exercises. I still hold that the Chakra system wasn't about magical energy nodes but stages of self-mastery.

I have been searching for a book in my library. It was written by a Dutch guy. I took some meditation lessons from him, ages ago. I bought the book before I took the lessons because it showed a picture of a guy with chakras, and it was about some Native American tribe who had similar ideas about chakras.

Can't find the goddamn book.

Just wait...

That's interesting, because neither the Lakota nor the Algonquians have such a concept but another tribe might.

I fear - but not sure - I lent it to somebody.

Ex-Yugoslavs come to mind. There was one who was an avid reader and hr visited me often. He read books in English and Dutch.

But I will search for it again later.

Found it!

It's called "Sjamanisme - het genezende evenwicht" (Shamanism - the healing equilibrium) by Robert Hartzema.

According to him it were the Cheyennes.

I'm watching a doc on Dutch tv about one of my heroes: Mohammad Ali, aka Cassius Clay.

Later.

Errr...No, they were Algonquian. Hartzema is a mess.

He got himself in trouble with Kazakh and Siberian shaman for that Chakra Shamanism trash.

I think he simply made it up, or recorded what a someone heard of a someone who then told it to another someone.

But he didn't appear to me as a liar. Just someone who got off track.

There was a YouTube video with a Kazakh Shaman going off about the Chakra Shamanism thing. But I couldn't find it. Nothing else online.
