Amish, Quakers, Jehovah Witnesses, who knows what they really are and who really cares? Seems like you do, but I respectfully do not. You cannot have that good an education system, I`ve never heard of either establishment.

But twaddling on to show off how ignorant and free from all reading comprehension you are... great job everybody I apologize I sidetracked your thread with the first reply after you mentioned the bible. That said threads get sidetracked all the time and you could try a better approach to get the subject back to where you want it.

Essan Posted August 1 #58 Share Posted August 1 Believing that Revalations is a prediction of events yet to come is like finding a 2000 year old horoscope and believing that just because it hasn't come true yet, it applies specifically to you and will come true tomorrow. And that Voldemort is a real person. 3

And that Voldemort is a real person. Not so fast. We could predict every single problem will be fixed and a perfect utopia will emerge. So, from that, resurrecting the past dead, throwing the worst sinners into the lake of fire, and purgatory for the rest. Simple, its all a matter if one believes that human civilization will rise to such magnificent heights as to solve all problems and achieve the perfect utopia.

It is a story of fear...sold by the American Evangelicals. Every American Evangelical in existence will point to the Kings of the East with their army of 200 million and say see...China! It's true folks, that proves it! ...and the blood up to the stirrups running like rivers in the street from all the dead. The human body has at most 1.5 gallons of blood. It would be absolutely impossible to have that much blood in the streets...the number of bodies, if all their blood was drained at the same time would be such an immense pile that know one would be able to see the street, much less the blood. ...hmmm...I should write a song about that... 2

The thing that proves revaluations is what described about the blood flowing like rivers. In reality if a global apocalypse were to occur, it would most likely be fought with nuclear weapons, in that case there would be no blood flows at all. Because, the intense heat from the blast would evaporate or burn up all the bodies and blood in a 1 to 2 kilometers circle around the blast zone. So, I totally agree with you. 1

And of course, they didn't have nuclear weapons 2000 years ago. Nor did they have invitro fertilization. Which of course means that, if it were a prophecy of our time...that would be included and nowhere would bridle stirrups be mentioned. We know it was a letter written by someone to specific people he was contemporary with (don't we?). Once organized Christianity decided to include it and that the meaning of that book is Jesus will come back to earth in order to help kill or convert everyone to the one true religion it becomes a bit of a death cult. Islam falls under this death cult umbrella as well. I consider myself a Christian but don't believe in organized religions in general. In my opinion they are easily corrupted by people desiring power over others and similar in that way to governments. One thing I personally believe is that all religions are in a way true. An individuals relationship with their religion whether it be positive or negative or non-existent is serving some kind of function in their spiritual growth. What I don't accept is presumptuous minutia detailing things no person could possibly know about God and creation that people get absorbed with and argue about insisting that it's true because it's written. There are Christians who do not accept the Book of Revelation as canonical. It's text probably describes allegorically contemporary events during the time it was written. All revealed religion is fraudulent.
