The mysterious disappearance of Christopher Thompkins in 2002

Christopher worked at an undisclosed surveying company, he was part of a 4-man team and enjoyed his job.

One day they were working in the field, and decided to stop to have lunch all together, one team member was in the middle of a conversation with Chris, he looked away for a time to check on something and when looking back Chris was nowhere to be found. The remaining 3 members thought that Chris had walked a little ways away to relieve himself behind a tree, but after several minutes Chris still hadn't come back they searched the immediate area but found nothing.

One of the team member called Chris's wife to tell her he was missing but his mother wasn't informed until 4:15pm.

The investigators found a boot hanging from the top of a barbed wire fence line near the area where they had lunch, with found a blue thread on the same fence line along with coins scattered around it, but no blood or any sign of struggle were found...

Christopher Thompkins's case is no longer being actively investigated and no further development have been made since.

What happened to Chris? Many believe he has been victim of foul play or been abducted, but what do you all think?

The missing 411 cases have been an interesting topic for me since discovering them from various Youtube channels and videos.

This is really strange story, and it appears something nefarious did happen. After reading a few articles on this story this morning it seems obvious to me that his coworkers are not telling the entire story. I don’t believe he just walked away, because why would he leave his boots behind and walk barefoot. Also, why would he leave any money behind, none of this makes any sense at all. If you get the time watch the video I provided it’s pretty interesting, also there are more videos on this subject on YouTube.

In my opinion he was never there. He was killed elsewhere and earlier.

My hypothesis: he had intercourse with someone's wife (or daughter?) and that someone objected and killed him.

Where is your information coming from?

I have read a number of articles about this and nowhere does it suggest what you are saying.

Thank you for the additional links, those are better than mine, i admit to not have looked on google too much...

I think you're onto something, there's something the coworkers didn't tell the investigators, in the article i linked it's said that one of them immediately got a lawyer after Chris went missing, and that immediately makes me think that person was guilty otherwise why would you get a lawyer. There's definitely some foul play going on, and things that don't add up.

That's a possibility for sure, the coworker could have made it all up after killing Chris, and planted evidence to cover himself. Your hypothesis may be correct but we don't really know, hopefully we'll know more sooner rather then later...

But if he was killed somewhere else the other coworkers must have been in on it as well? Because surely they'd notice that Chris was absent.

What's the weirdest is that Chris's mother wasn't informed until later and i don't know, that doesn't make sense.

Yea it really makes sense, people don’t just disappear into thin air. Sadly, normally when something like this happens there is foul play involved and that seems to be the case in this situation. Once you watch the video post your thoughts about it.

Peace.

I've just finished watching the video, and it seems that there's a lot of confusing details from different sources. The theory of foul play makes even more sense now, and the fact that the investigators did almost nothing at all, they didn't have the means to do it, but that doesn't justify the lack of care put into the search...

Sorry i might have missed details from the video but right now there's summer festivities right outside my apartment with extremely loud annoying pop music, so i can barely hear myself think, i've tried to focus as much as i can on it but i can't right now, i'll go back to it when it's calmer... 🤬

I certainly agree with you, it seems that when this event occurred the investors didn’t take it very seriously. Now, to many years have gone by to make up for lost time, so unless someone confesses I doubt they will ever solve it.

I'm not too much into social events especially ones catered to younger audiences.
