Banksy has posted another artwork in London, marking the third piece of a new animal-themed collection - this time featuring monkeys.

It is the third black silhouette composition that the Bristol-based street artist has claimed credit for since Monday.

On Tuesday, the anonymous street artist posted a photo of two elephant silhouettes, with their trunks stretched towards each other, created on the side of a house in Edith Terrace in Chelsea.

He posted an artwork of a goat perched on top of a wall near Kew Bridge in Richmond on Monday.

It comes after he also claimed credit for three other black silhouette compositions, which appeared in London earlier this week and are part of an animal-themed series.

Exclusive: secretive artist wants to cheer up people with pelicans, goats, monkeys – and now a black cat on a billboard

A big cat by Banksy appeared, poised ready to pounce, on a bare wooden advertising hoarding on Edgware Road in Cricklewood, north-west London, on Saturday.

The anonymous artist known as Banksy, who confirmed that the image is his at lunchtime on Saturday, is now also promising a little more summer fun to come.

The street artist’s vision is simple: the latest series of graffiti has been designed to cheer up the public during a period when many of the news headlines have been bleak, and light has often been harder to spot than shade.

Banksy confirms piranhas are his seventh animal artwork in London

A central London glass police box has been made to look like a tank of piranhas, in the seventh in series of works by the graffiti artist Banksy.

The elusive artist claimed the work as his own by featuring it on his Instagram account in a post at 1pm on Sunday.

The fish depicted on the police box are different in style from the previous six silhouetted designs that Banksy has claimed as his work on successive days over the past week.
