one has to ask the question: why not stay in their own country?

Because their own countries are more often than not poverty stricken, rife with violent crime or engaged in civil war, run by corrupt politicians, often imposing archaic religious laws, subject to intolerable extremes of weather and generally not quite as nice a place to live as Britain is.

That's the problem with living in paradise - every one else wants to join us!  :P

I'm not going to compare migrants to cancer.  I like migrants.  They're decent, hard working people who want to build a better life for themselves and their families.  Where this model falls apart is when you start importing migrants who hate your society, your culture, and your people, and set about seeking their destruction.  According to statistics gathered by a body no less august than the United Nations, 1 in 4 Muslims is a violent extremist. Perhaps they haven't attacked anybody, but we must always add the caveat...YET.

Based on the last couple of weeks, there are a lot more people born and bred here who hate our society and culture and set about seeking their destruction than immigrants doing the same.

Suspended Labour councillor Ricky Jones has been remanded in custody after he was charged with encouraging violent disorder in connection with comments at a London counter-protest.

Mr Jones, 57, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday. BBC reporter Lucy Grey said no indication of a plea was given.

The case was adjourned for a pre-trial prepation hearing on 6 September.

1 in 4 Muslims is a violent extremist? I don't believe this. Do you have a link?

The majority 'seem' to be young men by all accounts. These so called men should grow some balls, stay & fight for a better life in their own countries!
IMO they are nothing more than weak cowards running away, leaving their loved ones behind to cope!

Would British men do that!?= Leaving our loved ones behind & getting a boat to France to get away if it ever come to that in the UK??!! NA!! Just My Opinion

Half the far right posters on this thread are planning to leave the country because they lost an election.

Faced with a civil war they'd be halfway to the moon.

Define far right... What is far right in your mind with regards to UK immigration?

Then, logically, for successfull moon flights we need two civil wars. 😎

They don't seem to be able to agree a coherent policy position but typical indicators would be scapegoating immigrants for unrelated issues and reneging on our obligations under international law regarding granting asylum.

Then we have a couple of extreme right wing posters on here, who think you can't be British if you're not white, for example.

Yes, the study was conducted in the 2000s by the United Nations.  I'll see if I can dig it up for you.

In my opinion the signs point to a heavily stressed society, on the brink of civil war and genocides.

There is no doubt in my mind that this imminent crisis has been planned for decades by the various sociopaths who rule us on stage and behind the screens..

Hardly the stage for a civil war: a handful of thugs without a brain cell between them who melt away at the first sign of a counter protest.

I'm not worried about them as things stand at the moment.

Yes. There are issues with people exploiting the asylum system for economic migration. The previous government's approach of just turning them out into the community with no follow up did not help.

But the answer to that is not just turning away everyone, including genuine refugees, on the basis that there could be some imposters amongst them.

And of course, not forgetting the impact on dental health.

Well, since it was by the UN, and claims 25% Muslims are violent extremists, it should be easy for you to find. But you won't find it because it is fantasy.
