Grim Reaper 6 Posted August 12 #1 Share Posted August 12 KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Ukraine’s top military commander says his forces now control 1,000 square kilometers (386 square miles) of Russia’s neighboring Kursk region, the first time a Ukrainian military official has publicly commented on the gains of the lightning incursion that has embarrassed the Kremlin. Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi made the statement in a video posted Monday to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Telegram channel. In the video, he briefed the president on the front-line situation. “The troops are fulfilling their tasks. Fighting continues actually along the entire front line. The situation is under our control,” Syrskyi said.. https://apnews.com/article/russia-ukraine-war-incursion-kursk-afa42b9613323901bef07800ac2cae9e
diddyman68 Posted August 12 #2 Share Posted August 12 That's what they need to do,fast manoeuvring warfare, not get bogged down in atritritional warfare.use speed aggression and surprise with combined air, drone and ground offensives. Russian civilians have been detached from this war,now maybe they will question Putin about their safety, I'm sure there are people waiting in the background wanting to stop his insanity and are waiting for public opinion to turn. I think this kursk offensive is a mixture of trying to divert russian hardware away from the front and making civilians cause an uprising, resulting in Putin's overthrown. 4

I think your certainly correct, and it’s working very very well, let’s hope it continues too.
Tatetopa Posted August 13 #4 Share Posted August 13 Can Ukrainian forces now come in behind Russian lines in Ukraine and attack from the rear? They seem to be cutting off supplies by hitting convoys in Russia before they get close to the front.

jmccr8 Posted August 13 #6 Share Posted August 13 Today near the village of Giri’ in the Sudzha area, Ukrainian forces launched an attack using armored vehicles and motorized infantry, advancing over 20 km from Sudzha, reaching positions east of Giri’. Looking at the footage, they got repelled. But it shows and confirms that Ukraine is operating far from the current front line. Borki and Spal’noe, west of Girki’, could very well be under UA control. Yet all is still very fluid and unclear. https://t.me/pilotblog/14904 Video in link
