Russia complained that the people in its Kurk region are "peaceful" and not fair targets as Ukraine advanced into Russia in a surprise offensive.

Russian foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova accused Ukraine of "intimidating the peaceful population of Russia" with its offensive in the Kursk region, the BBC reported.

Ukrainian forces advanced into Kursk last week in a major attack that appeared to catch Russia off guard

HI Grim

Had to grab the tweezers and pull out half a dozen nose hairs to bring a tear to my eye when I read this. Well if the innocent people of Kursk are inconvenienced by Putin's folly and not a fair target then maybe bomb and drone the crap out of Moscow instead.

Pleas to deaf ears is all they will have.

I listened to interviews from people on the street in Moscow.  Multiple people said they couldn't talk about it for fear of the government.  The second most common answer was, I don't know anything about it, it does not concern me.  A couple of people did say that it was expected if Russia attacked its neighbors.

I bet the ones that said it should be expected are behind bars right now, Putin doesn’t stand for such public remarks.

How can anybody in our country think that Putin and the Russian govt. are OK?  It blows my mind.

It certainly blows mind also, but we must face the facts some people think just like Putin and they would love to turn the US into another Russia.

Russians are tremendous hypocrites really.  And to think that there are MAGAt who want to model the USA on that catastrophe.

MAGA?

A Jan. 6 rioter was convicted and sentenced in secret. No one will say why

We can be sure it is because this particular insurrectionist has somehow managed to transgress national security laws.

If you don't like this sort of thing, why not donate to the American Civil Liberties Union like I do?  I don't like these laws either, they are bad for democracy.
