I spent a fortune on repairs, fault after fault, it broke down on me several times in the lakes. It was in and out of the dealers and my local garage, several times, the dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree with faults, I sold it with an 18k loss, with the faults, plus no one in Bradford wanted to buy because of the introduction of the clean air zone, they would be fined every time they drove into the city. I took the RSI Smartcap canopy off and sold that separately. Worst vehicle I have ever owned. 2

My Explorer Interceptor, her "little sister" scared me two weeks ago when the windows stopped working with the locks and I couldn't find the problem. Luckily it was my fuse box had the American diagram on it and I have the German-British drive train and wiring harness. So I was looking at the wrong fuses and relays. 2

I am rubbish with stuff like that, I joined Ford Ranger group on FB to sell the canopy, I wish I had joined it before I bought the Ranger because every other post is someone with the same problems I had. Ford is recalling them in other countries but not here, they deny any responsibility. 2

Germany and the EU makes them accountable, the US less so and the UK even less. It's called "silent recall" and they are allowed to do it in the US and UK. 1

I know this because I once got caught in the most brutal lighting storm while riding my motorcycle from Idaho to Oregon, and when I was seemingly trapped in the middle of the storm with lightning striking all around me, I screamed out loud, freaked the eff out and just stopped in the middle of the road. Two Harley riders (a husband and wife team) came along side of me and motioned me to follow them. So I did. We made it past the storm and took shelter under the cover of a hotel entrance. They said in the future, just keep your feet on the pegs and drive through the storm without stopping. me too. i don't know what's on the other side

It is that fear which, for most people, keeps us from doing really stupid things. Am I afraid of natural death like dying in my sleep or having a heart attack? Somewhat but I am more wary of dying in an accident or being the victim of a violent crime (which seems to be happening more where I live) Come to think of it, I don't think I was ever really afraid so-to-speak. I mean, I was and still am careful but if I die, I die. I have no one anyways so my departure will be of no consequence. people do stupid things even when they don't fear death

I literally should write a book about it. I think it might get play. I was an adventure rider at that time. It’s a person who rides an adventure bike long distances. That means a bike which can be ridden on street or dirt. Some people go to Alaska and back, or South America, that sort of thing. Anyway, I remember riding in going for the Canadian boarder a long story short…and I saw a storm with lightning. But, I was so far away, and I was on the top of a mountain at the time, coming down into a series of valleys….and I had about 30 miles between me and the storm. And it looked like it was headed south and I was going East by North East. And I was able to avoid it. But, coming down, I got in one and literally thought I was going to die. you should do it. great idea

Things like (hopefully benevolent) first contact with aliens, knowing and seeing what my descendents get to do, the next big things in human advancement (colonising Mars, maybe). As to dying itself, like a few on here, I would fear the manner of my going if it should be traumatic or excruciatingly painful. Death itself? I rather lean towards non- existence though would love to be proved wrong and find myself in some wonderful afterlife. don't listen to the atheists. connect with the creator
lightly Posted August 17 #66 Share Posted August 17 I’ve told this before…but this time it’s on topic! I was told 5 yr. & 7mo. ago.. that I would live 4 mo. at the least, and 2 yr. at the most! I dunno why…but it didn’t really scare me at the time… I didn’t believe it, or not believe it ..just kept going. I think maybe it’s my love of all life that helps me live? ✌️

I always say, I love you, each time I end a converstion with friends and family, so in saying that, just in case Love you guys, you've have made me laugh, sigh in frustion, bang my head on the desk, have given me many things to think about, in all, I've loved the conversations on here You were one of the people I was wondering what happened to,I wasn't around much during the previous few years, very sorry to hear about you health and hope you can recover well enough to live a good life.

If it's quick, one never has time to process such things. Is what it is.

I go back to 60's VW beetles and lemon Austin 1800's, but f..f..f beats the lot of 'em. They could open a lemonade factory by now.
