Mr.UFO Posted August 26 #1 Share Posted August 26 The 1993 film "Fire In the Sky" was about the Travis Walton UFO abduction. I liked the movie, but I didn't like how Walton's co-workers were betrayed. Yes, they were sort of desert *******s (as one of them admitted), but that aspect was very exaggerated in the movie. 2

joseraul Posted August 26 #3 Share Posted August 26 I enjoyed it but idk how accurate it was to Waltons testimony and those involved. Kinda rare they make movies depicting actual alleged ET events. 1

I have never seen it, I think I will rent it and watch it later today, thanks for sharing!
jethrofloyd Posted August 26 #5 Share Posted August 26 A fairly good alien abduction movie with some very scary scenes. Especially in the last 20 minuters of the film. But still, after the film was finished I could not shake of the feeling of the whole story as a hoax.
Mr.UFO Posted August 26 Author #6 Share Posted August 26 Apparently, you can't use the R-word synonym for "hillbilly" on here -- even if I'm complaining about them being portrayed that way. 😂 There's at least one good documentary on the Walton case on youtube -- more factual than the movie. The director said that Walton's story was too boring for the screen. But they could have at least got the color of the spaceship beam correct -- it was aqua, not white. 1

Hollywood will mix fiction with a based on true story to give a movie more drama.

Sadly many go away thinking the movie is 100% accurate. 6 hours ago, Mr.UFO said: The 1993 film "Fire In the Sky" was about the Travis Walton UFO abduction. As far as a sci fi horror flick i would call it low end , mediocre I will likey get mean looks from believers but it was a movie made from a hoax afterall, I did kind of like the aliens didnt keep a tidy house ,

Zebra3 Posted August 26 #12 Share Posted August 26 The book is better but the movie was entertaining.

I think some people in this thread are confused. It was The Amityville Horror story and the Dropa Stones that we know are hoaxes, not the Walton abduction. It might be a hoax, but you don't know that.

Bed of chaos Posted September 18 #17 Share Posted September 18 As someone who does believe UFO's might exist, I definitely don't believe Walton. He's loaded w red flags. There were frequent aircraft drills in area, all the locals knew it. Walton was previously obsessed with UFO's. The other guy (Mike?) constantly changed narrative, never saw UFO. The Sheriff and family spoke out. Everyone knew it was fake, though story already blew up in media. Walton failed a lie detector (more than once).
