Curiousintexas Posted August 30 #1 Share Posted August 30 What are the multicolored reflections in eyes when a video is taken? Is this a normal thing? I've slowed down particular videos and it appears to be symbols in different colors that change very rapidly making it appear that the eyes are sparkling. The strange thing is the symbols and colors are different in each eye. Is this a common occurrence when recording digitally? Has anyone else seen these reflections or know what I'm referring to? +Desertrat56 Posted August 30 #2 Share Posted August 30 Welcome to the forum. I have never seen symbols in eyes in videos. What sort of videos are you noticing this in? Also, there is a genetic trait called herterochromium iridum which is rare except in some families. It is the eye color changes or is multiple colors, linked somehow to hair color as well. Can you put up a frame of a video with the symbols in the eyes?
Shadowsfall Posted August 31 #3 Share Posted August 31 Could be reflections and the inner eyes reaction to light entering it….

We nicknamed her Lucy, as in Lucy in the sky with diamonds, lol. It was hard at parent, teacher interview nights.🤩

You can do a lot of weird stuff with contact lenses. It doesn't sound at all like heterchromia iridum to me. I used to frequent a bar that had a kind of uv lighting and one of my mates eyes glowed a pale blue colour.i hated that bar ,if you wore a dark top of a certain material it showed every bit of fluff as well.

My tribe has them from mixing up with them in the New Sweden Colony. 1

Also from some scottish clans as far as I can tell, or maybe it is from very mixed families with british, african, native etc. My family has more than their share. We always notice the kids in the family that don't have it and they are usually one out of every 4.

My tribe is also mixed with African American but how it works is you either have brown eyes or the changie ones like mine.
Michelle Posted September 1 #11 Share Posted September 1 My eyes aren't all one color at any given time. It's annoying when you have to put an eye color on something like a driver's license. I just say hazel. Being colorblind I don't even know what color hazel is.

In our family it is any color of eye that changes or has gold or green, my brother's and mine are brown with green that turn totally green when we are angry or ill. Our sister has green eyes with gold flecks. My dad had hazel brown eyes with green, his dad hazel grey eyes with green. The african ancestry we have is from way back. I believe hazel eyes or heterochromia iridum is caused by mixed lineages (we are all one race but there are different lineages, if we were different races we would not be able to have children with each other). I know it takes 10 alleles to determine eye color but in order for brown to be dominant at least 5 have to be brown, it doesn't matter what the rest is, that is what geneticists have determined. So when there is no one color that has 5 alleles (like 4 green, 4 brown and one blue) you get hazel eyes. It could be 4 brown, 3 green , 1 blue and 2 grey or any other combination that does not include 5 or more alleles of any one color. So a blue eyed european can have children with a dark brown eyed african and their kids could have hazel eyes if one or both of the parents have more than one color in their alleles (very common in europe and the british isles). Otherwise the children have the color of eyes of the parent that they got the most alleles from.

the13bats Posted September 2 #15 Share Posted September 2 With what ive seen in goth industrial clubs and all the conracts out there i am not suprized at anything, ive seen eye tattoos and implants too. Years before the movie pitch black a guy came to buy a carburetor from me, a short fellow like a living garden gnome, takes off his wayfarers to look at the carb laughed at my reaction to his eyes, they looked like vin diesels in pitch black, no kidding, hecsaid far as he knew he could see just fine, didnt say why they looked like they did.
