How could they prove that she was the one that infected her neighbour ?the neighbour could of caught it from anybody they came into contact with.mask or maskless.

According to the OP's article they based it on this -

Quote

The male victim, a cancer patient, died of pneumonia caused by coronavirus after getting infected in 2021, the court heard before handing down its sentence on Thursday.

Earlier, an expert said the virus DNA matched the defendant and the victim, providing she had “almost 100 per cent” transmitted it.

Such a close match was convincing evidence because coronaviruses change rapidly, the expert said.

The judge said the virological report gave the necessary certainty to reach the guilty verdict.

His physician was fortunate that he did not treat him with chemotherapy against cancer, otherwise he would have been convicted for manslaughter for inactivating his immune system.

All countries should hold anti vaxers accountable for their actions. I would bet that this scenario had killed hundreds of thousands if not many more.

Just because you have the vax doesn't make you immune.if you and your family were all vaxed and mostly stayed indoors ,and say your wife caught it and spread it and somebody died because of it ,should she go to jail ?

Would the alleged wife be vaccinated? I would assume yes?

That's taking a specific precaution to curb spread and therefore exempt. People who knowingly infect others by way of refusing measures to protect the community would be the chargeable crime. A form of involuntary assault or manslaughter depending on the outcome of the infected person.

After re reading the op's link it doesn't say whether she was vaccinated or not.so it's unknown if she was anti vax or not.

I also thought she went to jail but it was just a suspended sentence.

There's too many gray areas and unknowns in this case for me,so maybe a suspended sentence was the right call in this case.
