UM-Bot Posted October 12 #1 Share Posted October 12 NASA recently featured this photograph, which shows a strange face-like formation, on its website. https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/381632/weird-skull-like-face-photographed-by-rover-on-the-surface-of-mars 1

Cho Jinn Posted October 12 #5 Share Posted October 12 The domed sagittal crest is unmistakably Bigfoot-esque. You don't think....
fred_mc Posted October 13 #6 Share Posted October 13 I don't see a face. I'm pretty bad at seeing things like that.
Vox Posted October 13 #7 Share Posted October 13 Genuine question: At what point in time does pareidolia stop being pareidolia and become the real thing? 1

When that 'thing' is actually the 'real thing' that it looks like. This clearly isn't a face. therefore 'pareidolia' and not the 'real thing'. Ell Posted October 13 #13 Share Posted October 13 There is the stone head of a dog swimming through the sand poking up out of the sand, just below the two split stones at the very top. ... Might be Bigfoot's dog ...
nevins Posted October 14 #14 Share Posted October 14 Intriguing...To the right of center we see the huge petrified foot of some massive Martian ungulate. Beside it is obviously a shell, perhaps the home of some long dead Martian crab species or a type of mollusc. To the left & central there is a petrified Blobfish. Slightly below the Blobfish to the left i can see clearly the petrified head of a Wolf-fish. Now direcly above the Blobfish there is definitely a petrified Fur seal pup. Beside the Fur seal pup we see obviously the head of what appears to be the fossilised face of what can only be described as a creature from the same family type of Jabba the Hutt. Oh & on the left amongst the large rock formation is the skull of a terrifying looking alien, the subject of this post/thread. Have i missed anything?
