But when maga had their insane unhinged meltdown over her standing up to them abusing her in AI and her backing harris i did look her up, she sure does make a heck of a lot of money and gives a heck of a lot away, shes very popular very loved by her fans.

It helps people, for example my 22 yo roof doesnt have another hurricane left in it if a person like swift bought me a roof, its pocket change to her yet would actually be life changing to me and my situation, i wont question these peoples motives.

Well, I agree with you on most, but do you really think Mel Gibson is a good person?   I suppose alcohol can be blamed, but usually alcohol just helps people reveal what they really think.   They all have a reason to give to charity and some of them are really good people.  I would not question Dolly Parton, Betty White,  Taylor Swift or many others, but some I do question, partly because of the charities they donate to and partly because of things they have said or done in public that makes them seem like unconscious, entitled gits.   (Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, etc)  Everyone of them is as human as the rest of us and we all have our demons.

In mels case and my 2 cents to your post i dont think mel meant to be a bad person,  As you know i have been in the music band club biz all my life so i have seen first hand countless times the effects of alcohol and or drugs on people,  sure some just get more free with what they say some have a great time and are fun but ive also seen drugs and or alcohol make a normally very kind caring person into a nightmare, ive actually seen the hyde jeckle thing ruin lives, could you imagine being with a person who becomes a horror when imbibing but blames you for it? I've seen that situation. Mel had some pretty wicked demons that in his case i think he tried to control self medicating with excessive drink, it turned on him. While i have no doubts some found it amusing like when amber herd got it handed to her i didn't find mels too young for him gf playing his raving tantrum he sent her to the world just to get 5 mins attention for herself and show me she was a much bigger narcissist than mel. None of us are perfect and if anyone says they've never freaked out they are either lying or lacking emotions.

I know all about the horrors alcoholic drug addicts can create, and even sober they blame others for their bad behavior.  I was raised by one of those so I  may have a more cynical view of alcohol induced madness/rudeness/nasty, hateful behavior.   Alocohol alone does not change a person's personality so those kind people you know who are horrible when drunk are actually  horrible people with self control when they are sober.   No excuses.  I have known people who are loving and kind and when they get drunk they are still loving and kind because that is who they are, they get sillly and spend a lot of time hugging peoeple when they have had too much to drink.

The effects of alcohol and drugs go far beyond the difference between a violent and happy drunk. I was the most placid drunk you could meet,  chill,  relaxed,  but that means squat if you're addicted and prioritise the drugs over your family.

THat's why I specified alcohol in my commentary, drugs do not do the same thing the mind as alcohol.  And there are a lot of *******s who prioritize their next drink over the well being of their family and their own life.
