I stand corrected, public trust in government has shot up tp 22% from 20%,

“but people still spread election lies.”  ?

Yes that's the case

Wether one has faith in the government or not, there's no doubt that the 2020 election was legitimate. And we know Trump was told of he got more votes than 2016 that he would win. That was his tipping point. He got more votes but still didn't win. Biden got more again. People who still say it was stolen just look like corrupt liars at this point.

To support an exposed lie is disgraceful and corrupt. It would be be easy for enemy countries like Russia and China to paint the average American as corrupt and without honour. And all that have to do is show the truth about Trump and Maga. That people actually supported lies and cheaters. Trump not only makes America look bad but everyone in it. I suspect a lot of average Americans hate Maga with a passion for giving them such a poor global reputation.

Trump didn't make a promise. Of course we will come up with cures. It's an open ended statement with no condition unlike Biden. Biden was elected in 2020. Why did Biden fail to fulfill his wild campaign promise?

LoL, you're such a sycophant.

Here are his words.

How's he going with windmill cancer? We got an ETA on that cure yet?

You're so pathetic that you're funny.

Just out himself as a Karen. Brilliant.

Sorry mate, but writing scathing letters to ABC is hilarious.

I was asked a question, I responded. I guarantee you if I had responded, "I haven't sent an email to anyone", then you (or more likely Golden Duck, who asked me the question), would have responded along the lines of "then why are you just complaining online if you're not going to do anything to try to be part of the solution". It didn't matter how I answered that question, you guys would have found a way to twist it into an attack. It's what you guys ALWAYS do.

It's only a little bit pathetic

30,000 lies and misleading statements, was it not?

Straight lies lies somewhere around 10,000 if you're interested.

When those 30 thousand instances include things as ridiculous as rounding up to 75 instead of rounding down to 74 when the number was 74.3 (and not just once, but 19 separate times), the entire list becomes beyond useless.

Where did you get that 10 thousand number?

Well, seeing as you brought me back into conversation, I will now give my opinion - one that I was going to keep to myself.

If I felt so ashamed about how my tax dollars are being spent I by the ABC, I would write to the shadow Communications Minister.  I would also make sure to include the opposition representative on the lower house if the Minister was a senator.

Seeing as The Conversation is mostly made up by universities you could possibly air you grievances to the shadow ministry for education.

It may not make a difference but you can be satisfied that you caused panic down the chain of rank-and-file public servants.

FWIW, kudos for at least writing to ABC.

I also think he is not presidential material.

I'd have to disagree.  It seems we have different concepts of "presidential material".  He's got a lot of faults and flaws and he can be annoying as hell but his first term wasn't nearly as bad as the damage caused by the current occupant of the job and if she wins - or is installed - we will be involved in a global war before the end of her term.  The stakes are higher than they've ever been and as distasteful as he is, at least he isn't a status quo warmonger.

I think America's survival has come down to a six to five and pick'em.

But he used obamacare which he said was terrible but after 8 years he cant do better so then had cancer and aids been cured during 2016 it actually would have been trump using obama to do it.

So if you had what you felt was a legitimate grievance,   you would contact the Communications Minister and the Opposition a minister as an absolute minimum. Cool. I'll conduct they next time I feel the need to commodious about the ABC.

Though the quality of your response suggest that someone was going to take me to task for my answer no matter what I wrote, @ExpandMyMind is just looking for ways to attack me.

How many jobs were created by his term?  Which country had the best economic recovery following Covid?  Which country had the lowest inflation following Covid?  What "damage" was caused?  Answer the questions.

Simple: It obviously works. It riles up the liberals and energizes his base.

Task failed successfully.

It works very well, and it works on both sides...You can keep your doctor...We have to pass the bill to find out what's in the bill...etc.

It doesn't matter what party or what politician...they all lie.  So, I'm not getting all upset about Trump's lies vs. Biden's lies  vs. Obama's lies vs. Clinton's lies vs. Bush1's lies vs. Bush2's lies.

They all lie.  Politicians lie.  ALL politicians lie.  It's part of the job.

So, you can all go ahead and demonize Trump...but he is just one guy in the entire Kabal.  The Kabal lies.  So, what I am not understanding is why everyone get's worked up about Trump said this or Trump said that.  It's the same game regardless of the D or R.

The only thing I can figure out is that we actually are living in 1984...literally...i.e. The Proletariat

I agree but the difference at this point is corporate media is fanning the flames of tribalism and it's just a matter of time before chaos and anarchy arrive.

That's essentially the message in the article in the OP.  It is normalising lying. It may produce an evolutionary advantage.

I'm amazed by that Americans are so stupid so they vote for him, despite that he is lying all the time etc. Here in Sweden almost nobody would vote for Trump. At the election Trump vs Clinton, there was an opinion poll here in Sweden. The result was that almost nobody would vote for Trump, Clinton got almost all the votes.

I doubt Trump would make it as a politician outside of America. Australia would laugh him out too.

Here’s the thing. Everyone is so used to Trump lying no one questions it anymore, it’s acceptable to the republicans and he gets away with it. Kamala says something questionable and they’re all over her like a rash

Yup, and the media is lock n' step with the "preferred" candidates ensuring that no other viable 3rd party ever challenges the two party system of control. It's been fairly obvious for quite some time now.

Anarchy? Just a matter of time?

What breeds anarchy is not politicians lying.  The root of anarchy is lack of law enforcement to the degree that the majority just stop obeying the law.  It's been happening already now since Covid when police stopped pulling people over for traffic violations.

The press fans whatever flames they create because the bigger the flame, the bigger the monetary payoff.

There is however a coordinated effort between those who control the money supply and the press to fan those flames in a particular direction.

If one allows the flames to control their thinking then one is most assuredly going to get burned.

The flames of fear and control.
