UM-Bot Posted October 26 #1 Share Posted October 26 The psychic discovered the skeletal remains of a person behind a bowling alley, but there was a twist in store. https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/381997/psychic-looking-for-mans-missing-daughter-finds-human-remains 5
WorldMysteries Posted October 26 #2 Share Posted October 26 The idea of psychics helping to find missing persons is quite intriguing and has been the subject of much debate. While there are some documented cases where psychics have claimed to have helped locate missing persons, the effectiveness and accuracy of their contributions are widely contested. For example, some well-known psychic detectives, like Sylvia Browne and Jeane Dixon, have claimed success in finding missing persons. However, there are also many instances where their information has been vague, inaccurate, or led investigators down false paths. Law enforcement agencies are often skeptical and reluctant to rely on psychic information, preferring to stick to traditional investigative methods. That said, some families in desperate situations have turned to psychics when all other avenues have been exhausted. It's a fascinating topic, but it's important to approach it with a healthy dose of skepticism and always verify any information through conventional means. https://people.howstuffworks.com/do-psychics-ever-really-break-case.htm https://positivelypsychic.com/help/psychic-spot-disappearance/ 2
Chaldon Posted October 26 #3 Share Posted October 26 Yeah. The most impressive for me of all that stuff were the experiments with remote vision performed in the 1960's I think, under some military contract, when a psychic had to draw a picture of some remote place which was later compared to the actual photo of the place. The similarities in the forms and the lines between the photo and the drawing were striking, although the drawing itself was too vague to be of practical use. Interestingly enough, the drawing and the photo were similar in every aspect including the point of view and framing, which could mean two things: 1. hoax (if the photo was made before the session and the psychic covertly saw it); 2. the psychic did not actually see the place remotely but rather read the tester's mind or perhaps foreseen the future moment of the comparison (if the photo was not made before the session). There was a rather funny episode of Columbo on this topic, where it was all a hoax, of course.
fred_mc Posted October 27 #4 Share Posted October 27 (edited) That psychics aren't arrested must mean that the police and prosecutors have some belief in psychic abilities. Otherwise, who would know where bones are buried except for the murderer? Edited October 27 by fred_mc 1
MissJatti Posted October 27 #5 Share Posted October 27 (edited) Not a great deal of infomation on the bones that were found other than it belonged to a male. The physic may just stumbled upon them, rather using the abilities. Edited October 27 by MissJatti
Bed of chaos Posted October 27 #6 Share Posted October 27 It's impressive she knew something was there. Though not much info in article. I wonder if the individual was murdered.
openozy Posted October 27 #7 Share Posted October 27 The universe directed the psychic to this body, for some reason it was more important.
papageorge1 Posted October 28 #8 Share Posted October 28 I am a believer in psychic detectives but even they claim to not be perfect. I have heard some compelling stories. In this OP case, it doesn't sound quite possible that an unsettled spirit reached out to the psychic. There are incredible odds against finding a human body by a bowling alley just by random luck. I can only speculate if that person they found had any connection to the person they were looking for.
