Constitution says they can't and no mention was made by you about Puerto Ricans living in the continental U.S.. So my reply is correct.

A Spanish only speaking person from Puerto Rico living in Virginia (or Pennsylvania) can vote in the election according to the Constitution.   We started this whole conversation because of Razman's post #16 about Pennsylvania (which is the continental US).

I just quoted you and stated Puerto Ricans can't vote. Look at what you posted as it was what I replied to. Did you distinguish between the two? NO you did not. I can't see that anyone else brought up Puerto Ricans out of left field but you sure did.

Puerto Ricans are all US citizens but the island speaks Spanish.  Only 50% speak English.

As per your statement it would suggest you're referring to the Island of Puerto Rico.

Puerto Ricans on the island can't vote in federal elections and that was what I was stating.

Why would I have to distiguish the two when we were talking about Pennsylvania?

I think I know what happened.  You jumped into the conversation without knowing the whole context.  Just start from Post #16 and it will make sense.

Not all Puerto Ricans are english speaking. There was an influx of them coming into the country after Hurricane Maria.

I'm the one that made the post about PA and provided the link to the Lou Dobbs article.

You're the one that mentioned Puerto Ricans that had nothing to do with the conversations in the thread. The only thing that was said was in the Lou Dobbs article about non-English speaking people.

Puerto Ricans are all considered U.S. citizens but not all can vote in federal elections.

The confusion is yours.

Phew, I'm glad we cleared that confusion up.  Thanks for explaining what Gromdor meant for me.  I was thinking he was talking about the Puerto Rican voters that lived in various states that only spoke Spanish but were American Citzens and could vote as legal residents of those states.  Who knew he was really talking about people just in Puerto Rico!?  Which is odd because he was the one that pointed out that Puerto Ricans in Puerto Rico couldn't vote because they were a terrirtory in numerous other threads.

Attempts to clean voter rolls should be welcomed.

In a baffling admission, CNN admits that removing noncitizens from the voter rolls in Virginia is a 'win for the Republicans': "A court divided across partisan lines, siding with Republicans." CNN admitting what we already knew: Democrats benefit, if not rely, upon fraudulent votes from noncitizens.
