"After the image had emerged, veteran government transparency advocate John Greenewald Jr of The Black Vault fame ran a reverse image search on Google to look for its original source.

What he discovered was that the 'mothership' was in fact little more than a chandelier reflecting off the inside of a window.

So why was it being presented as a classified government photo of a UFO ?

Within a couple of days, Elizondo himself had commented on the blunder by blaming it on "a friend in government" who had given him the photograph a couple of years earlier.

You have a point there. At a minimum, he would have faced some serious federal charges for illegal removal and distribution of classified materials.

Again he is here presented as former head of AATIP without questioning it. Where is the evidence that he has been head of AATIP?
