Evil Must Collapse Under the Weight of its Own Corruption.

Seems to me, that "Evil" is getting a bit thick.

Any questions?

Anyone disagree?

Well, evil is a very loaded term.  What on earth are you talking about Crazy Horse?

If by "had its day" you mean it is lessening then I disagree.  It will only continue to build until its master arrives to take the whole world into deception.  AFTER that, one is coming who will destroy it with the breath of His mouth and the brightness of His coming.

Why can't people just take responsibility for their own actions and quit expecting some sky daddy to save them? No one is saving you, no one is coming to help.

"Good old days" syndrome. People who are ignorant of history think we had a "Leave it to Beaver" United States and it's getting worse here.

Not!

It's sort of the 1890s right now with a slight case of 1970s but it will work out.

All I know is that people need to work on their own 'evil' aspects. Instead of thinking some magical force is going to turn everything into a pure bliss state 24/7.

That's the main problem with this world. Get up and fix it. Not wait for something or someone else to fix it. It's your life, your community and your planet.

That's why the devil is a scapegoat, a religious excuse. Prayer fixes everything, except it doesn't. You can meditate till you're in a semi-comatose state and that's doing nothing except self-medicating.

That's how it all started. The Hebrew-Canaanite "Scapegoat Ceremony".

We just had a big discussion on how Matthew and I are two of the few left who are action based in our service whereas many of the Convinced are just virtual signalers now.

Disgusting...

Well, there are forces in the world that know what they are doing is going to cause tremendous harm, pain and suffering, and yet they do it anyway.

That, to me, is evil.

Well, these things do take time..

Its a bit like having way too many beverages. At the time you feel great, mellow, lit-up.

But you know there is a hang-over coming..

Hang on... Has it not occurred to you that some of the people getting harmed might have it coming?  The wheel of karma grinds slow but fine.

There are various definitions of evil..

'Evil is but ignorance, misapplication and ill-health.' ~ Aurobindo

Here ignorance is not just lack of technical knowledge of worldly subjects, but that of wisdom as well. There have been individuals and nations that came to grief on account of lack of wisdom while possessing abundant technical knowledge.

'Evil is an extreme manifestation of human unconsciousness.' ~ Eckhart Tolle

I have elaborated on the second saying in this thread of mine...

That's what evil is.

Ignorance, misapplication and ill health.

Too bad ignorance doesn’t collapse under its own weight.

That's a good point that needs some careful consideration.

I mean, if you believe in the whole "Garden of Eden" story, and the eating of the apple as the first sin..

Then how did we get from that one action, to unnumbered sins (trillions of times through-out history?).

I think that mere thoughts can create (small) bad karma, (dependent on the actual thought I guess) which if there's a bad reaction to that karma, will only create more and bigger negative energy, until after many lifetimes we get to this world we see today!!

So, evil maybe the straightening-out of ones karma, but those committing those negative deeds shall also have to pay.

I guess that's where the concept/practice of forgiveness is so important?

I feel there is something missing in the above post, but I cannot put my finger on it..

But, this doesn't diminish my original point, that evil is a zero sum game and doomed to fail, if anything it strengthens my point!!
