AUKUS I imagine will die. The ironic thing is that the low income MAGA that voted for him will suffer more than anyone other group if Trump goes through with his tariff increases. Sorta pointless when they’re paying double and triple for a MAGA cap, gold sneakers and Trump bible. 
 

Hopefully he’ll be informed about the consequences of high tariffs and back down. But realistically even if he does back down from tariff increases the uninformed have still voted for him and the don has achieved his aim.

Yeah, I was chuckling a bit at the clowns claiming inflation and buying up merch too. 

But yes, he has not only promised those tarrifs but musk let the cat out of the bag at MSG saying things will get tougher before they get better.

I'm pretty sure he knows what will happen. It's bigger than that though. It's also going to drop confidence with OS investors. I completely expect these tarrifs to be introduced. It's more astounding how most his brush them off as if nothing will change. As I keep saying, he doesn't need approval. That's the real concern.

If an Australian politician made the same bombastic promises like Trump about Tarrifs, military alliances, social rights and so forth he/she would never even reach an election let alone be voted into power. This is an American problem when facts cannot be only discussed or scrutinised so politicians can be held accountable (which they should).

Remember when during the one and only debate with Harris when Trump was fact checked and the outcries from the Trump peanut gallery to drown out even fact checking  his claims and informing the audience of the truth. Basically Trump and Co. election campaign was based on disinformation and suppression of the truth.

Problem is, who's the bearer of truth? Who fact checks the fact checkers? Which topics of conversation are given legal limits?

I get that you hate Trump at a deep and personal level but it's over, Trump won, there is no mass amount of uncounted ballots, Kamala admitted defeat, and the Republicans are going to control the Senate and probably the House of Representatives.

Since Trump won he will probably now nominate two to three more Supreme Court Justices, Thomas and Alito are getting a bit old and Sotomayor does have severe health issues that might force her out earlier than normal.

For anyone interested Sotomayor has Type 1 Diabetes which at her age drastically increases the odds of heart disease, kidney disease, and stroke.  Some people on the left were wanting her to step down this year so Biden could name a nominee and get them through in case Trump won.
