How will Iran’s proxies in Iraq respond to US election?

Before the US election, the Iranian-backed militias in Iraq were increasing their drone threats to Israel. They have been launching drones and making more statements about potential involvement in attacks on Israel. The militias are part of the larger Iranian-backed milieu in the region.

There is no doubt that Iranian messaging after the US election is that Tehran and its axis of “resistance” will continue their attacks. Ali Fadavi, the deputy commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said, “Iran and the Resistance Front are ready, and the Zionists cannot confront us, and they must await our response.”

Kind of strange seeing a US presidential change during war time...

I know the US isn't directly involved in Ukraine or the ME conflict,but still.

Wonder how/if this will change things.

If we take Trump at his word (I know, I know), then we can expect him to pressure Ukraine to surrender. Israel it seems to depend what day you ask him.

Not surrender, negotiate.  Probably with some of the territory already occupied by Russia.  They don't have to.  How many more men can they afford to lose?  Currently there are about 30k soldiers and 11k civilians dead on Ukraine's side.

I think they'll continue with their efforts on behalf of Iran until we get closer to January 20th.

Yes, this one will eventually end like all the rest.  Ukraine never had any chance of winning a long-term war of attrition against a nation that had several times their population.  I support a negotiated settlement but only with the caveat that instead of sending endlless billions to Ukraine, we begin rebuilding our own stocks of ammo and weapons systems that have been depleted in this war against Russia.  Putin has essentially put Moscow on a war footing/economy and now we either have to match that or risk that he will create a reality where he can go into the EU to take revenge.  Only if he sees the West matching his efforts will be be disabused of such a goal.
