Essan Posted November 11 #4 Share Posted November 11 Eoin O'Faodhagain again ...... How did I know it'd be him?! Of course, one advantage of spotting Nessie on webcams, via the internet, is that the image will always too poor for anyone to be able to state categorically what it was. Oddly, they are never, ever, seen by people actually there at the time.

Guyver Posted November 11 #8 Share Posted November 11 It’s odd….I watched the video, but I didn’t see a 25 foot long humped creature swimming through the water, in fact, I saw no creature of any kind. There was nothing there. What a waste of two or three minutes.
garen1 Posted November 11 #9 Share Posted November 11 There is nothing there 3 feet above surface and 25 foot long something is imagined. UM stop putting out click bait.
Amanda Evans Posted November 11 #10 Share Posted November 11 I love sighting in Loch Ness Story. It looks like "something". But the Loch is subject to the kind of waves that do look like moving objects so that will just end up marked inconclusive.
Saru Posted November 11 #11 Share Posted November 11 I'm surprised that some people are saying there's nothing there at all. There definitely seems to be something there - the question is what that something is. The Loch Ness Monster mystery has been plagued by misidentifications for years, so it would be interesting to know what we are actually looking at here. 3
Buzz_Light_Year Posted November 11 #12 Share Posted November 11 (edited) Well whatever it is it's moving from right to left and the waves are moving from left to right. So it's not going to be a log or any other drift on the surface as it would be moving with the waves. Portre Posted November 11 #13 Share Posted November 11 It doesn't appear to be leaving a wake, but then, wakes don't leave wakes.

garen1 Posted November 12 #17 Share Posted November 12 And definitely a wood log floating. It has to do with prevailing current flows not just waves. I saw something similar recently at local river and lig was moving against prevailing river flow. Not small river, usually large slow moving water bodies. Lake currents are no exceptio. Definitely log. This is cleverly exploited because it fools the eyes.
garen1 Posted November 12 #18 Share Posted November 12 And yes nothing 3 foot out of surface, barely a foot, which is what a floating wood log does. And 20 feet is overactive imagination from the person who took the video of the wood log. I would say might be another kind of log rather than nessie, or Bessie or whatever they call their tourist bait.
garen1 Posted November 12 #19 Share Posted November 12 correction. It has to do with prevailing local current flows at the spot which can be very local indeed, and different to the overall prevailing water current or wave direction. That's why things like this are exploited because it does fool the eyes.
