The International Criminal Court's governing body will launch an external investigation into its chief prosecutor Karim Khan over alleged sexual misconduct, two sources familiar with the matter said on Friday.

The alleged victim is a well-respected lawyer in her 30s who worked directly for Khan, according to the Guardian. Documents seen by the British paper show an accusation of unwanted touching by Khan and “abuse” from April 2023 until April 2024.

Strange. When it was Kavanaugh you assumed the victim was lying by default.

Gosh, I wonder what the difference here could be.

I'm pretty sure there is no proof being presented in that case.  The nut job who made that accusation gave no evidence.  IIRC, she wasn't even believed by her own friends who acted as witnesses.

And what is the proof in this case?

Well, one..he's a lawyer. And two, he's one of these guys :-

A former human rights lawyer struck off over false torture and murder allegations against British Iraq War veterans on Monday admitted a massive legal aid scam.

Philip Shiner, 67, pleaded guilty to three charges of fraud dating back to 2007 following a five-year investigation by the National Crime Agency (NCA). Shiner, of Birmingham, was struck off in 2017 after 12 charges of misconduct were proved against him.

Hey, you know who else is a lawyer?

Thanks for supporting my point.

As always you manage to triple jump to the wrong conclusion.

I'm supportive of investigating these allegations.

I'm just highlighting and-then's hypocrisy in supporting this investigation (because he sees Khan as disagreeing with his politics) but opposing the investigation into Kavanaugh (because he agrees with his politics).

I support(ed) investigating both.

So what if he does? You've derailed my topic thread by bringing up a completely unrelated incident from six years ago for no other reason than to target another member. Next time you want to start a petty argument, take it outside.

Well this thread has nothing to do with Kavanaugh or the US...just more "whataboutism".
