Emerging evidence suggests that plate tectonics, or the recycling of Earth's crust, may have begun much earlier than previously thought — and may be a big reason that our planet harbors life.

Plate tectonics?  I guess if I want to find out how that makes any sense, I’d have to read the link.  My guess would be no…but, I’ve been wrong a time or two.

Excellent link, good read.  Yes, the idea seems valid.  We know life thrives near undersea vents….so, yeah.  Well done.
