In unprecedented access, Channel 12 News Israel reporter Ohad Hemo recently went into the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza to speak with Gazans. Their plight and their stories are heartbreaking.

What a horrible, messed up situation.  It seems that until these people have a place to settle into with shelter and infrastructure this thing can never end.  The world has known what the needs would be for over a year now yet none of those organizations have taken steps to even begin creating a space for them.  Egypt receives nearly as much aid from the US as does Israel yet we've put no pressure on them to open the Sinai to create a temporary place where these people can shelter.  I understand the sensitivity of resettling them, even temporarily, but what else can be done?  It will take years to clear and rebuild and until civilians can be separated from the gangsters, there will be no way to ever get rid of these demons.

UNRWA has to go.  IMO, ANY UN entity would be untrustworthy.  What a tragic mess...

While sad,it kind of sounds the same way of the "plight" of the Iraqi's and Afghans...

Been many bloody revolutions throughout history, but the only ones that truly last are when ones own native people rise up and make the sacrifices themselves.

Surely in all these years,if the majority of males didn't somewhat at least agree with this type of ideology,it would cease to exist today.

Though ham-handed, report on Gazan anger at Hamas appears to reflect waning support

For the first time since war broke out over a year ago, Israel’s military permitted a journalist in Gaza to speak to Palestinian civilians there last week. The result, aired by Channel 12 news on Sunday, offered a significantly filtered peek into the mindset of displaced Gazan women and children from Jabalia in northern Gaza.

Against a backdrop of debris, dust and armed Israeli soldiers, some residents speaking to the channel’s Palestinian affairs reporter Ohad Hemo vented their frustration at Hamas, shouting and cursing the terror group ruling Gaza for the devastation it wreaked on their lives.

Gazan workers, formerly employed in Israel, are also now speaking out against Hamas (and Israel):

Gazan workers blame Hamas: 'They've taken us back 200 years'

I get an error message when I try to play the video from the article, so I've posted it below directly from YouTube in case other members are experiencing the same problem:

Hamas-led force targets gangs looting Gaza aid convoys

Fighters from Hamas and other Gaza factions have formed an armed force to prevent gangs from pillaging aid convoys in the embattled territory, residents and sources close to the group said, after a big increase in the looting of scarce supplies.

This comes after a large-scale looting of humanitarian aid yesterday, where 98 trucks were lost, according to UNRWA.

Talk about the fox watching the hen house...

It's most likely Hamas own members doing the looting, probably just a PR stunt by Hamas to try and regain trust/control over the populace.

It would be more like trying to get control of aid they've no intention of distributing. They will keep what they want for themselves and sell the rest at exorbitant prices. They would then make a PR spectacle of it to the world, and blame Israel for its starving civilians.
