Dancing white blob

I have a Reolink PIR & IR security camera mounted at upper level of my house focused to look down at my front 1.6m tall driveway gates about 12mt from house. One night while overseas when I checked the camera (about 9pm at home) on a tablet I saw a light moving over the gates and adjoining garden. The light was very soft without definition but where it touched it briefly illuminated the area enough so colour was briefly visible and lasted about 10mins then suddenly a large form like a white blob appeared. My wife and I watched this adult size undulating sinuous moving blob of light dancing around in front of the gates for approx 12mins then it disappeared just as fast as it appeared. It was a clearly defined undulating shape with smooth waving motion like a person dancing inside an opaque plastic balloon. It was the only time it appeared, the camera never recorded it but did record the earlier moving soft white light.

I think it unlikely that what we saw was a camera glitch or air pollution because the blob like the soft light brightened the surroundings so colours became visiable. I have no idea of what it was and would be like to hear from anyone having had with similar sightings

I th8nk we need more information - for example was it a Can-Can or a Foxtrot? The Tarantella perhaps?

I've seen some weird paranormal entities but none like yours. You will never know what it was but it's an interesting account.

How is the camera supposed to work if it was a normal physical object versus how things worked in this incident? Were you prompted to look or you just randomly happened upon it.

Never had that experience myself. I'll be the first to say it, it could be a human ghost.

That camera also uses infrared detection, right?

You should post copies of what's recorded.

Of course you do.

But you don't know ànything about the house, the weather conditions, the location of the house, the amount of traffic around that time, and so on.

You should at least try to have a bit more of an investigative mind before jumping to a conclusion.

Ah...I see now. What you seem to be looking for is for everyone to agree with you then proceed to support your unsubstantiated claims by emphatically insisting that whatever you saw was something 'paranormal' even though all we have to go on is anecdotal 'evidence' (which is really not even reliable evidence on its own)

However I agree with Sojo that it was likely a spider or come insect that was crawling on or near teh camera and its body was reflecting the light but like was stated, unless there is a screen capture or something it is highly unlikely you will get a definitive answer nor the answer you want.

You lot are a tough audience, I didn't expect the judgemental responses on this forum

So, I'm not looking to impress, justify, win accolades or make claim to a paranormal experience (not a believer in walking dead or plasma or anything spiritual) replace Donald Trump, I did however see something I couldn't explain when I checked my home security camera while overseas from NZ, my son who is professionally brilliant with all things video thought it may have been microbats a common issue with security cameras in Qld Australia. Sojo' video is very similar to what we saw except smaller and airborne. What we watched remained on the driveway in front of the gates but unlike the insects or microbat the camera did not or could not record what we watched. It did capture the moving lights but these are very faint so whatever it was it never reoccurred so will remain a mystery.

I'm an absolute realist, I work globally managing marine vessel projects and marine salvage projects, nothing surprises or socks me but I do occasionally share some of the unexplainable I have witnessed

Without seeing a video one can only guess but I have seen hundreds of videos of spiders on webs that look like dancing blobs so maybe that’s what you saw.

This is a spider on one of our security cameras at work. I know it is a spider as I saw it around dusk when it appeared as brownish blob moving around the lens and that was even more disturbing.

The mystery for me is if the thing was an insect or some sort of material matter, alien life form or whatever it was the camera would / should have captured it considering it was there for more than 10 -15mins before vanishing but it didn't. As I said it vanished not left the area, it was there then it wasn't

I like blobsquach - good description. In US a Blobsquach could create a whole new myth with a following and multiple sightings then get its own TV series, maybe a movie deal...I need to get me an agent!! and call Donald, he knows how to sell BS
