itsnotoutthere Posted December 2, 2024 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2024 The outlook for the British economy has taken ‘a decisive turn for the worse’ since the Budget, according to business. In just the latest sign of the potential damage done by the Chancellor’s £40billion tax bombshell, a survey by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) found private sector firms believe activity will fall in the next three months. This marks the first time this year that expectations have been negative and comes as business reels from a punishing Budget that included a £25billion rise in national insurance contributions (NICs) paid by employers. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14146539/Britains-economy-turn-worse-thanks-Labours-Budget-77-bosses-warn-wont-bring-growth.html

Duke Wellington Posted December 3, 2024 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2024 The folly of having a party where unions hold a lot of sway and power. He`ll be pandering to them throughout the next four years, rather than looking after business or the economy. If he doesn`t, he is gone, they`ll replace him. If he does, we the public will replace him at the next election.
