A flying taxi that spins and moves in any direction thanks to new propulsion system

A new type of flying car could soon be ferrying passengers through the skies using a novel propulsion technology, engineers say.

On Nov. 5, CycloTech, an Austrian company that builds flying car components, unveiled blueprints for its new "BlackBird" demonstrator aircraft — a flying car that uses a custom-made alternative to propellers.

It's a circular rotor with small propeller blades inside, which spin around and can be used for both propulsion and steering.

I have to say that DOES look quite intriguing and it would be nice to see an actual working demonstration of how it actually maneuvers in real life.

Could be a lifesaver especially in times where, say, a medic is needed but cannot get to his/her destination via regular roads...if it proves to be workable, reliable and safe it holds much promise.

Maybe someday even the average person could pilot it. Maybe.

Oh boy, blueprints.

I have some blueprints for an anti-grav hoverboard I drew up when I was 8, maybe I should call a press conference.
