Did I see a sasquatch child?

The third experience I want to share happened when I was 10 or so. I was homeschooled then and our homeschool group went on a field trip to the Indiana dunes.

We where on a trail that goes between some of the dunes, these ones where tree covered so we where in the middle of the forest.

I remember there was a low dune that was maybe twenty feet higher then the trail. Suddenly something ran across the top of this dune.

Everyone saw it, the runner went fairly fast but I was able to follow it with my eyes. I saw something dark brown running on two legs and pumping its arms like a human would when running. It was maybe five feet tall. Not the ten foot giant that sasquatch are said to be. Also to my knowledge the Indiana dunes aren't known for sasquatch. Also everyone else said it was a deer, but I've seen deer before and they don't look like that! I clearly saw it running like a human! So I don't know why nobody else saw it like I did.

Then, it was most probably a human. You know, if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Maybe. Its just strange that everyone else said it was a deer.

Which is an interesting, in and of itself, aspect of the “Oz Factor” (as in “Wizard of…” not “Australia”) Wherein sighting of the same phenomenon/event can be described wildly different depending on where the viewer stands and their innate opinion on the matter.

Bears can walk upright and if this is a rememberance of a memory, then it has been edited.

So ..everyone else saw a deer when you were ten...but you know it was something else?

Just wondering...how old are you now?

There hasn't been bears in Indiana for more then a hundred years!

And well, back when it happened I thought it was a large monkey or chimp. I had never heard of sasquatch at that time.

I'm thirty six now. The only thing I forgot to add is that I told my mom what I saw and she said I must have eye problems or something and to forget it.

You are thirty six.  Old enough to begin to realize the realities of the world we live in.

Reality #1.   There are no Sasquatch's.  It's a myth. The rarest animals on the planet have been photographed and documented. Not so much as a hair or bone fragment has ever been found to substantiate the existence of Bigfoot.

Reality #2. Whatever you saw at the impressionable age of 10 yrs old, was not a Sasquatch.  It was a deer. Everyone else saw a deer. From your unique perspective it looked like something else.  It was a deer. There is a consensus among your peers about what was seen.

Reality #3. Memory is a funny thing and changes over time.  Perhaps a bit of research and study into memory might help you understand that memory is not a qualifying factor for anything. It's complete bs.

Yes, most likely true.

Were you near any red dot area on Indiana map? (map takes a minute to load)

Bears don't run standing up. They shamble. Neither do they pump their "arms".  The op said it was running, not walking. Bears stand up for a better view, and to scent the wind better.

You may have seen a human with the sun behind them. This would make the person look dark.
