DOD has not yet been able to stop any of them or find out who is guiding them.  Apparently there have been a couple of task forces to deal with drones, one office in business for a couple of years.  So far, no visible results.

The FBI has an 800 number to call with reports.

"The State of New Jersey should issue a limited state of emergency banning all drones until the public receives an explanation regarding these multiple sightings," Republican state Sen. Jon Bramnick said in a statement Tuesday.

Numerous reports were sent to Action News about flying objects in Media and Broomall in Delaware County, as well as in Philadelphia's Mayfair section and in Cherry Hill, Camden County.

 

The Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey -- a military research and production facility in Morris County -- has reported 11 confirmed sightings by a police officer or security guard in response to a report since Nov. 13.

The mayors of 21 towns in New Jersey penned a letter to Gov. Phil Murphy demanding action over the mysterious drones.

Michael Melham, the mayor of Belleville, New Jersey, posted Monday night on Facebook that there will be a briefing held exclusively for New Jersey mayors on Wednesday with the New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness regarding the drones.

I’m guessing someone knows who they are, I mean they’re lit up and everything . Hit em up with an EMP device or something maybe. They could be Chinese spy drones.

Yeah, with lights.  It's what make me think they are not spy drones.  I think we need to ignore team, "I don't know what it is, what it is for, but I am scared so let's shoot it down." and just let the investigators do their job.

If the drone was using GPS jamming or spoofing, it's quite possible that the car followed the signal and changed the clock to match whatever signal was coming from the drone.

Heard from my wife that my Father-In-Law saying the FedGov isn't shooting them down because they Cannot. According to his YouTube connections  anyway.

I was like, cannot why? Because they can't target them? Because they're our own military? Because there's some agreement?

I've been following this vaguely via YouTube and this is wild - even without the stories (such as the bloke who sent his own drone up to look at the mystery ones and he disappeared after texting a friend the FBI was at his door) that seem probably invented, there's something behind the who shebang other than "civilians/private groups with their drones having a laugh". 
The fact that the media is calling them "drones" and not UAP (because no one knows precisely what they are) on clear direction from the government is odd.
The fact that civilian footage shows helicopters (either police or military) approaching the drones and we're still not hearing anything identifying them is odd. 
The fact that there are reports of fighter jets being scrambled is deeply odd. 
The fact that the Alphabets are all involved is unsurprising but the fact that everyone is openly saying that the Alphabets are involved is odd. 
The fact that nothing has been discovered debris wise is ... you guessed it, odd. 

I think there are two basic options - either they're Earthborn foreign and the US is worried about shooting them down because of their unknown features or they're American and you're in the middle of a MASSIVE distraction campaign. There is a very slight chance, so slight as to be worrying if it turns out to be true, that they're non-terrestrial.

Don't worry docy. If there was a mothership from Iran off the coast our Navy and Coast Guard would have seen it coming a long time before it got here. Unless you think there's a Close Encounters of the Third Kind spaceship out there. Iran doesn't have a decent helicopter so they really don't have one of them. I tend to think they're American too but I don't know who actually thought no one would see them and is flying them.

Homeland Security shares new details of mysterious drone flights over New Jersey, lawmaker says | Associated Press | wfmz.com

The large mysterious drones reported flying over parts of New Jersey in recent weeks appear to avoid detection by traditional methods, like helicopters and radio, according to a state lawmaker briefed Wednesday by the Department of Homeland Security.

In a post on the social media platform X, Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia described the drones as up to 6 feet in diameter and sometimes traveling with their lights switched off. The Morris County Republican was among several state and local lawmakers who met with state police and Homeland Security officials to discuss the spate of sightings that range from the New York City area through New Jersey, westward into parts of Pennsylvania, including over Philadelphia.

Drones are legal in New Jersey for recreational and commercial use, but they are subject to local and Federal Aviation Administration regulations and flight restrictions. Operators must be FAA certified.

The number of sightings has increased in recent days, though officials say many of the objects seen may have been planes rather than drones. It’s also possible that a single drone has been reported more than once.
