Sorry to hear it.  The Santa Ana’s are no joke.  I live just north of the danger zone.  What makes them so bad for wildfires is that the coastal mountain terrain can be so rough that it’s hard to fight the fires early.  Then they build and spread and the high winds cause new fires to sprout up.
