Should UNRWA be refused a role in Gaza, Judea, and Samaria?

No, but any organisation operating in “occupied territories” will inevitably become suborned by malicious actors simply due to their ability to move around unaffected by the “occupying” power/s.

NO but a viable alternative(s) must be found as a couple of million civilians in Gaza depend on UNRWA for aid.

As for why they should not have any role in Gaza, UNRWA:

  • Has ties to ties to terrorists. In fact, some of its workers ARE terrorists who've committed atrocities against Israelis.
  • Operates 700 schools, all of which indoctrinate students. Their teaching materials include antisemitic and inflammatory content, and celebrate violence and martyrdom-jihadist culture.
  • Workers have publicly praised and supported deadly assaults on Israeli civilians.
  • Perpetuates Palestinian refugee status, thereby inflating a role they've long outlived to ensure growth in their funding.

Agreed, but as Hats pointed out, any organization that is empowered to take on this role will have to be monitored - IMO, by Israel.  There has to be a system put in place where an entity like COGAT can be the final arbiter of how international aid is dispersed.  We know that global media and NGOs will complain that it isn't being done "fairly" or through a timely enough method, but at this point I think Israel has the choice of allowing this evil to continue to survive and grow or finally acknowledging that the world is not going to accept without resistance that Israel has the right to protect itself against an enemy population bent on its destruction.  When the culture of the Palestinians changes, so can the conditions under which they are governed.

I agree with that. Many UNRWA workers, fearful for their lives, have had to do what Hamas and others expected them to do. So not only will they (or their replacements) have to be monitored, they would have to be protected as well, even if Hamas is out of the picture.

Their educational system has to be overhauled and monitored as well. Radicalization is an issue, but the bigger issue is the brutal beatings children are subjected to when questioning some of the teachings, or when asking if something other than jihadist lessons will be taught. Stories from Palestinians who escaped Gaza and sought refuge in Israel are heartbreaking. Students are forced to lie in graves as part of their martyrdom lessons. They are beaten not only in school but also when they get home. And others who challenge the 'curriculum' are forced out of school, not allowed to return home, and have to stay outside (usually in graveyards) for weeks at a time.

A country they had every right to live in, with full citizenship rights exactly the same to Jewish citizens?

A country like Israel, perhaps?

So, instead of Hamas doing the looting, it's now "armed gangs"...

"The UN does not allow Israeli soldiers to protect aid convoys, fearing that would compromise it's neutrality" hmmmm.

The UN's solution, let Hamas run security forces protect the convoys.

You can't just make up stupidity at this level!

Aid is actually overflowing but Hamas won't allow it to be distributed.  The UN is still lying about "famine" in some areas of Gaza and blaming Israel for not allowing enough aid into the area.  The number of people who believe this nonsense and who protest Israel because of it, astounds me.

I suspect it's because if they make many moves to distribute aid without Hamas' permission, they risk death.  Let's face it, Hamas is basically an old-style organized crime syndicate.  They are straight up EVIL.  The only way forward for the Palestinians in Gaza would be for Hamas to be totally eradicated.  I suspect that Iranians have a better chance of freeing themselves of their mullahs than Palestinians do Hamas thugs in Gaza.

Looks like UNRWA is going to shut itself down:

UNRWA said preparing to shutter Gaza, West Bank operations ahead of Israeli ban

The UN aid agency for Palestinian refugees is reportedly preparing to shut down in Gaza and the West Bank ahead of the implementation of Knesset legislation significantly curbing its operations.

The laws passed on October 28 bar UNRWA from operating in Israeli territory and prevent Israeli authorities from having any contact with the agency. The laws will go into effect at the conclusion of a 90-day grace period, which expires at the end of the month.

Appearing to explain the decision to shutter operations in the Palestinian territories, senior UNRWA Gaza official Louise Wateridge told The New York Times, “If we can’t share that information with Israeli authorities on a daily basis then we have staff lives in danger.”

Hamas linked to UNRWA, aid went straight to leaders, recordings reveal

The humanitarian aid that entered the Gaza Strip at the beginning of 2024 reached Hamas leaders instead of Gaza citizens, according to recordings of communications between Hamas operatives revealed by Channel 12 on Sunday.

Israel presented the recordings to the US, Channel 12 claimed; however, the Biden administration was adamant that 250 trucks of aid enter Gaza on a daily basis. The recordings further revealed the close connection between Hamas and The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
