UM-Bot Posted January 12 #1 Share Posted January 12 The crew had been flying back to Fort Lauderdale on December 23rd when the encounter occurred. https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/383797/flight-crew-films-strange-glowing-object-45000ft-over-the-bahamas 2 1
Ell Posted January 12 #2 Share Posted January 12 Meteorite? Satellite debris?
sanchez710 Posted January 12 #3 Share Posted January 12 Pixelated Venus again. Inconsistencies in the story too. The pilot saw 3 objects but the person who filmed it only saw one....that's because it was Venus. Interesting that Air Traffic Control said they had an object on radar though.

Which is how you know that it isn't Venus. Whatever it was, it dogged them for 45 minutes so that leaves out asteroid, and it is quite bright so that leaves out space debris, as does maintaining 50,000 or so all the while.. Also, if it followed them for 45 minutes, it is highly likely a piloted craft.
Dan Homestead Posted January 13 #5 Share Posted January 13 @Ell ? Those are stationary? And zigzag? And stay in the air for 45 minutes?
Dan Homestead Posted January 13 #6 Share Posted January 13 @Sanchez Venus doesn't zigzag. I'm quite sure pilots can distinguish a planet or star from something moving much closerby. The pilot could've seen three objects instead of one as he views it from a different angle/different position in the plain.

You dont think that the alleged movement of the blob can be camera movement? ...and its clearly the out of fucus that creates the "orb blob" effect. Amorlind Posted January 13 #8 Share Posted January 13 (edited) Agreed move with the phone can create the illusion of a move of the object, much more if the zoom is used and vibrations experienced (as in a plane) Interestingly the control had something on its radar but not identified by its transponder, and people saw something that lasted a long time...so this was physical in some way but not a satellite, not a planet or an atmospheric re-entry (meteor or something human made) Now 45000 feet is a very high altitude (cruise altitude usually). Over this altitude and accouting with what was said or written, we can only deduce it's was a UAP (secret project, UFO, etc...) I cant even begin to count the number of times I turned off the transponder when doing or being somewhere I wasnt supposed to. 😎 2
Amorlind Posted January 14 #14 Share Posted January 14 @Hazzard If you are a civilian pilot, and even if pilots are "trusted", in the kind of case you describe doing so it either reckless or stupid.

You have no idea how many times its done. Helicopters and small fixwings do it all the time... at least in the US where I worked. Not for hours, but maybe 10-20 min here and there depending on the circumstances.
MissJatti Posted January 15 #16 Share Posted January 15 Its dark out, the phone camera is zoomed to the max, any slight movement of the phone can make a light/dot appear to be zig zaging, and do other 'crazy' movements 1
