About as much as Kamala did.

Kahlief "Positivity Peddler” Adams on X: "So I've had multiple people reply to my previous tweet by saying Kamala Harris also made a Nazi salute. This is false. https://t.co/MmVgKaiXmx https://t.co/pjAjeWVhlw" / X

Ah, that explains it. Grok seems to have hallucinated, and you simply passed on the information without any verification.

Typical.

Checking through 3 of those 4 books, those quotes are nowhere to be found.

I also it should also be emphasized that you additionally exaggerated the length of time, well above the length which your pet chatbot reported. Chatbot said a few days at most, from what you quoted, you lied and said weeks. Not satisfied with being a chatbot parrot, you need to sprinkle additional lies on top of it.

Add to that, I asked the hallucinating chatbot to verify this information, and it now says there's no evidence of such an illness.

This is the garbage that makes chatbot use so stupid, ignorant, and damaging to useful interchange of information. Good to know that you're basically just providing chatbot fakery to everyone without acknowledging it. And then making up your own whoppers on top of it!

And you must learn to stop being a chatbot parrot, while adding your own lies on top of its hallucinations. Let's both work on our respective issues, shall we?

Just curious...

Where did you find those books?  Are they available online to read for free? Can you send me a link to where you were able to read those books?

Also, you're quick to jump to call me a liar when all I did was answer your request for where I got the information from. I told you where I got the information from and this somehow makes me a liar? Really?

Online. Yes. www.books.google.com. There are some gaps, and non previewed pages, but enough to get the gist. As one example, "John F. Kennedy: A Biography" has him in the oval office signing things and bursting with enthusiasm the next day. Not bedridden.

JFK was certainly an ill man at many points. But he didn't make that an excuse for ducking the cold.

You might have wanted to check on them before parroting your chatbot, but maybe that's beyond you at the present time. It shouldn't be.

No, you being a liar isn't because you finally revealed the source of your information. The lie is when you took the inaccurate, faked information, didn't check on it, and then exaggerated it even more, from days to weeks, and posted it.

It immediately fooled another chatbot enjoyer, and was used as fuel for a different argument.

You need to check on your hallucinating chatbot, and gain a little agency - I believe you can be more than a lying chatbot parrot. You can do it!

I assume you're referring to me, when in post #17 I addressed this using the phrase "IF TRUE,  it puts context". If true, as in leaving the opening to be wrong.

And guess what - if the story isn't true, then it's still a reasonable decision to move indoors when Trump is 78 and the weather was as cold as it was.

When Trump starts rearranging his schedule so that he only holds meetings when he's cognitively able to turn up (like a certain former POTUS) then come back to me and we can argue then whether this is an issue then. Until then, I really don't care.

Okay, so based on the if/then, you now would say:

It doesn't put context to the boast about JFK doing his inauguration outdoors.

The consequences for said 45 year old (weeks being sick) do not need to be factored in.

It is then not absolutely hilarious that someone would try to suggest a 78 year old man should hold a ceremony outside just because a 45 year old did it in similar circumstances, since the latter did not get very very sick as a result.

Okie doke. I'm glad you can follow the consequences of your own logic.

How is that not freaking hilarious

Presumably when it's a fake story hallucinated by a chatbot. But, you know, mileage varies.

Yeah, it is a reasonable decision to adjust things based on the advanced age and health limitations of the current president. It just, you know, sort of emphasizes the advanced age and health limitations of the current president. It's fine that Trump is old and needs to be protected. I don't want anything happening to our nation's commander in chief either.

If the story is true, it's hilarious. If it's not true then holding the ceremony indoors is still a very good idea for a 78 year old. You can be very fit and healthy as a 78 year old and still get done over by a common cold (heck, the over 55's were all given covid vaccines before everyone else because of the way that viruses like that disproportionately affect older people, so it's not like there's anything controversial in anything I've said).

Either way, the takeaway from the story is that Trump is doing the right thing by looking after his health and you guys are just losing your minds trying to twist that into an attack against Trump, and it's freaking hilarious to watch

Didn't seem like anyone was losing their minds. @Tatetopa had the absolute temerity to make a joke about JFK being tougher than Trump. Then we had a chatbot parrot lie to everyone, you decided the joke was an insult to Trump's honor, and we were off to the races.

The joke about sickly JFK being tougher than Trump was pretty hilarious though, you're right. JFK was probably hopped up on amphetamines, though, which is a sort of unfair advantage.

Hold up partner.  We are not alone in losing our minds.  Steve Bannon claimed it was a Democrat plot to neutralize Trump.  He is the voice of MAGA is he not?

Not unable, just unwilling, as the veracity of the story is immaterial to the decision to hold the ceremony indoors.

The "joke" from Tate was to claim that JFK was tough because he did something stupid then claim Trump isn't tough because he isn't stupid! Man,  I should have framed it like that at the start,  would have saved heaps of time

And yet, your original post stated a number of material conclusions if the story was true. Was your post entirely immaterial?

But, unwilling to check on things you use to support your positions? Yeah, that's certainly true.

Yes, you may not have had to do quite as much freaking out about the aspersion on Don the Felon if you were able to self-regulate and think of a better context. Perhaps a good approach for the future!

Kennedy mad a memorable speech on that day, I don't think it was dumb.  Trump supporters came from across the country  dressed for the weather.  They might as well have stayed home and saved the trip.  Were they dumb?

IF TRUE,  then it's hilarious to put context to the story.

IF UNTRUE,  the overall point is less hilarious but nevertheless common sense to move indoors due to weather.

Anything else is irrelevant!

I mean, I have no issue with it being conducted indoors.  But aren't you a teacher?  Looking out for his health?  The cold weather doesn't make you sick.

I guess you'd have to.

Yes, we agree that if one has health issues that preclude them from being out of doors in the cold, they can take actions to protect their health.

But if Trump were to take some amphetamines, lose the coat, and give an actually good speech, it would have been a much better inauguration. Might have even been as iconic as the JFK one. But, it's fair for him to watch out for his health. No doubt about that.

Ones grasp on reality and ability to separate truth from fiction is always relevant.

Ah, I must have misunderstood the capitalized words, emoticons, and multiple repetitions of the word "hilarious", and you self-describing the situation with the word "freaking".

Perhaps I could inform you that it's not always about how you feel, but about how you objectively come across to others.

As it is, your inaccurate contention that "you guys are just losing your minds" is lent particular note by your above statement. I advise a little self reflection.

The cold wether can impact a person's immune system,  thus making them susceptible to a number of illnesses, and older people are particularly vulnerable. This was addressed earlier in the thread by others,  see post #23.

I'm glad we agree that Trump is right to look out for himself. To the rest, let's say I disagree with that. What you are describing as "freaking out", I call "amusement" at best. Finding something funny (even "freaking hilarious" if you choose that adjective to describe it, as I did) isn't "freaking out", not by a long shot. Neither is capitalising for effect what I would call "freaking out", and if emoticons demonstrate freaking out then half the forum is beyond help  :innocent:
