Sydney nurses caught on video vowing to kill Jewish patients, sparking probe

Two nurses in a Sydney hospital have been suspended from work for threatening to kill Jewish patients and refusing to treat them in a video on TikTok, triggering an investigation by police, authorities said on Wednesday.

The video was shared by a TikTok user named Max Veifer, who says he is from Israel. The video shows him talking to a man and woman wearing medical scrubs. "I'm so upset that you're Israeli ... eventually you're going to get killed and go to (hell)," the man in medical scrubs said after Veifer mentioned he is from Israel in a video chat. When asked why he would be killed, the woman in medical scrubs said: "It's Palestine's country, not your country," and used an obscenity.

The woman said she would not treat any Jewish patients and instead kill them. The man, with a threatening gesture, said he had already sent many Israelis who visited the hospital to "Jahannam," the term for Islamic hell in Arabic.

I just read a piece claiming she had lost her job as well as any privilege to ever work in healthcare again in Oz.  If that's accurate then I agree.  It's one thing to spew your hate for others at your job site but within healthcare, is a whole different dimension of unacceptable.

Yes, both nurses have been barred from working anywhere in Australia. The male nurse, who had falsely stated he was a doctor, had aspirations to become one. He can now kiss that dream goodbye. Originally from Afghanistan, he sought asylum in Australia and recently obtained citizenship there. The female nurse is Australian born, and is now suffering from 'anxiety' given all the negative attention she's receiving. Serves her right given the anxiety she and her colleague caused. The police continue to investigate and will announce whether criminal charges will be filed.

The NSW Police Force have continued their investigation into the nurses, but minor controversy arose over communications between law enforcement and the Israeli English teacher and social media influencer who the nurses wished death upon. According to Sky News, NSW commissioner Karen Webb stated Thursday that Max Veifer had failed to provide the full and unedited footage of his random video chat with Nadir and Abu Lebdeh.

Veifer said late Thursday that he had nothing to hide, and published a longer video on social media. He offered to send it to law enforcement if they notified him of where to send the material. Sky News obtained a text message from Veifer which indicated that police had only sent the social media influencer a link to their website, rather than an email.

This has been on the news quite a bit over the last few days. 

Police are investigating, as I understand opposition leader Peter Dutton is seeking to have their citizenship revoked. 

I expect criminal charges will be laid. Hopefully not murder charges. The claims are gruesome to say the least. Hopefully they haven't actually killed anyone. No doubt justice will befall these two very soon.

NSW nurse claims she ‘wrote an open letter’ about alleged anti-Semitism after October 7 attacks

A midwife has said pregnant Jewish women and Jewish healthcare workers are afraid to speak out about what she claims is rife antisemitism in the Australian healthcare system.

Sharon Stoliar made the comments speaking to Sharri Markson on Sky News on Thursday night, after the suspension of two Bankstown Hospital nurses accused of making threats against Israeli patients. The NSW Health nurse claimed she previously raised concerns about anti-Semitic rhetoric among healthcare staff, only to find herself under investigation instead.

I think reporters are the least of their worries. Just being in public will be a real danger to them. They are probably the most hated two people in the country at the moment. 

What goes around comes around huh! 

They should just voluntarily leave the country. This isn't going away quietly. They are marked people who will never work here again and will not be accepted by the people of this country. There's no future for these two in Australia. Hopefully efforts to revoke citizenship will be successful.

I don't know that their citizenship will be revoked, but yes there's no future for them in Australia, at least in the medical industry. It's truly ironic that the Arab doctors now trusted most in the world by Jews, are the ones who work in Israel.

Not in Australia. They have been condemned widely. There's probably some fringe nazi type idiots but they are just a tiny minority about as popular as these two. I don't know anyone who isn't shocked at their actions and find them disgusting. 

They wouldn't be safe walking the streets. Put it that way. There's nothing here for them anymore. They need to leave.

No industry will want them, they are soiled goods. If government finds a loophole to deport them, they will no doubt use it. For once both parties agree on something. Their families should leave too. They have tainted their names and futures for themselves and the people who tried to defend them. This is a cluster fk on all levels. There's no coming back from this. 

I have little doubt that the Jewish community can have confidence in the people of Australia who didn't stand for this and condemned these two, immediately standing them down and investigating them, and everyone wanting them deported. That's not how we do things here. The community at large has written these two off.

From what I can find, AHPRA are excluded from the Spent Convictions Scheme.

This seems to be close to a lay-down misere case for Elbow-kneesie's hate speech laws.

Applying to be registered is always going to raise the fact they are criminal bigots.  Can they fulfil AHPRA Code of Conduct, particularly...
