pellinore Posted February 12 #1 Share Posted February 12 (edited) An Albanian criminal‘s deportation was halted partly because of his young son’s aversion to foreign chicken nuggets. Klevis Disha, 39, entered the UK illegally as an unaccompanied minor. He later gave a fake name and falsely claimed to be born in the former Yugoslavia. He was stripped of his UK citizenship in 2021 after serving two years in prison when he was caught with £300,000 known to be proceeds of crime. It was later determined that he should forfeit citizenship because it had been “acquired through deception”. But an immigration tribunal ruled it would be “unduly harsh” for his 10-year-old son, known as ‘C’ in court documents, to return to Albania with his father owing to food sensitivities, sensory issues and difficulties communicating emotions. They fry them in sunflower oil, not olive oil. It's a flagrant breach of human rights. Edited February 12 by pellinore

I once went on a stag doo to a town in the Scottish borders called galla shields ,after loads of beers we went to a local chipy .i can't eat much when im drinking so just ask for a mince pie .imagine my disgust when she took the pie and put it in the deep fat frier, imagine my face as she handed me a fat drenched pie with a smile on her face.it went straight in the bin.they apparently did the same with the pizzas. Any jocks wanna defend this action /deny this barbarism actually happens. 1

Tatetopa Posted February 13 #13 Share Posted February 13 Looks like the kid has food sensitivities, maybe more serious that not liking nuggets. However, doesn't seem like a reason not to send them home.

Albania has excellent cuisine. It is about the only thing they can take any pride in these days. Let the little brat adapt.

UK cuisine is not good really- chips with everything and if we want to try Indian or Continental we just pour a jar of spice over the chips. The Mediterranean diet is acclaimed not because it is healthy in itself (lots of veg and olive oil) but because it isn't deep fried or baked to death in an oven. If you nutters hadn't 'done Brexit', I'd be typing this in Spain or Greece, and feeling a lot healthier than I do now. 1

Being from the SE US,we have plenty of our own deep fried recipes, thankfully I grew up in an area of it known for some of the best cuisine (Cajun/Creole) and learned quickly! Recently have started learning many Italian recipes, and with my love for some "heat" in my food have been learning to blend both quite nicely!
