America’s very own surrender monkey is Vladimir Putin’s useful idiot

America’s very own surrender monkey is Vladimir Putin’s useful idiot. No matter how officials spin it, Trump’s concessions, made before ceasefire talks with Russia even begin, are calamitous, primarily for Ukraine but also for Europe’s security, the transatlantic alliance, and other vulnerable targets, such as Taiwan. As stated, Trump’s giveaways – accepting the loss of sovereign Ukrainian territory to Russian aggression, denying Nato membership to Kyiv, withholding US security guarantees and troops – are shameful appeasement, amounting to betrayal.

It was Putin, remember, who launched an unprovoked, murderous full-scale invasion three years ago. But Trump suggests that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ukraine’s brave, battered people are somehow to blame. He even regurgitates Kremlin calls for fresh elections in Kyiv. Such hypocritical cant from a regime that routinely subverts other countries’ polls is beyond sickening. But Trump the duplicitous dupe willingly buys it.

Donald Trump’s betrayal of Ukraine has emboldened Vladimir Putin and pulled the rug from under Nato allies

I thought you were European (actually I thought you were from the UK). So why are you colluding with the enemy?

Is it just me or is it wise to asses a deal at the end of negotiations not before any face to face meetings have happened.

There appears to be lots of opinion on this yet no commentators, as far as I know, have a working crystal ball.

This is despite the fact those same commentators tell us repeatedly Trump is unpredictable. 😉

"the enemy"  odd turn of phrase! If you were to actually define our 'enemy'  based on the number of deaths handed out to our fellow citizens then a good case could be made for concluding that Islam is our actual enemy.

The negotiations have already ended. Trump just gave Putin Europe on a plate- which Trump had previously said he would do if he got into power again.

Don't surrender too quickly.  The EU and Ukraine are more capable than we are giving them credit for. In addition to that, IMO, Russia is nearing collapse. With Europe's aid, Ukraine can defeat Russia if they keep pushing hard to demilitarize Russia.

  • 3 weeks later...

Seems like the US is switching sides.

It's actually been becoming more obvious over the last few weeks.

Trump says Ukraine 'more difficult' to deal with than Russia

The US is "doing very well with Russia", and "it may be easier dealing with" Moscow than Kyiv, Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Friday.
