'Died for stealing chocolate': Pakistan anger over death of child maid

A couple in north-east Pakistan has been detained on suspicion of murdering a 13-year-old girl who worked for them as a maid, for allegedly stealing chocolates. The girl who goes only by one name, Iqra, succumbed to multiple injuries in hospital last Wednesday. A preliminary police investigation said she had been tortured.

The case in Rawalpindi has sparked widespread outrage and posts with the hashtag #JusticeforIqra having garnered tens of thousands of views, and reignited a debate over child labour and the mistreatment of domestic workers.

Worked for them as a maid eh?  Probably calling her a slave would be more accurate.  I will be interested in hearing the punishment.

There are times I think that Pakistan still lives in the Middle Ages.

The way they treat their women and kids....

But.... I once, long ago, I read an online article about a Pakistan judge...

There was this guy who was proven guilty of raping and killing hundreds of kids, and then dissolve them in barrels filled with acid.

The judge decided...yelling... that the guy should be quartered by 4 camels.

Well, it didn't went according to the judge's wishes.

I forgot what happened to the pervert, but I assume he isn't enjoying his retirement right now.
