The stopping and starting of the bus were caused by the bus driver 😉... and if you are looking at a celestial object from a vehicle in motion you might get the illusion that its following you. Trust me, flying at night can fool even the most experienced pilot.

So if you then would pull over to the side of the road and stop... the moon, planet or star will appear to do the same. Distance is the key.

I was on a bus at night when a druggie got on and started freaking out over lights in the bus reflecting in his window as UFO's moving along with us as we moved. "They're coming to get us!" LOL

 

I have a memory of a night, perhaps in 9/71, timing seems correct to me, when a reported UFO sighting in the northern sky was causing a commotion in the neighborhood. Many of us were going outside, looking north hoping to get a glimpse of "it". I don't remember it being green but I saw a light slowly bouncing up and down above and below the horizon.

I am amazed at this story sparking that memory. I wonder if any other sightings are recorded in Sept '71 which could be related here. Perhaps a trail of its movement could be drawn. <considers searching Skyeagles thread> Nah.

ETA, Oh yeah, this story is near Hull, where the other current story of the tanker and container ship collision is news. WoooOOOOOoOooooo lol
