pellinore Posted March 11 #1 Share Posted March 11 (edited) It was while in the (air ambulance) helicopter that, she claims, she went to heaven, where she was faced with a life and death decision. Talking exclusively to the Daily Mail, she describes how the sun was rising, and as it hit her face, she closed her eyes. 'Then I woke up and I was on the other side,' she says. 'It was that quick.' The Canadian-based psychic recounts her story in her book At The Stroke of Eternity, describing how one minute she was in the helicopter, slipping out of consciousness, before being instantly transported to a beautiful garden, surrounded by flowers, a gazebo, and all her loved ones. Even her pets - both past and present - were there to greet her, she claims. I died and was sent back to deliver an urgent message. Here's what heaven looks like... and the daunting decision I had to make before I returned | Daily Mail Online Edited March 11 by pellinore 3 1
Popular Post XenoFish Posted March 11 Popular Post #2 Share Posted March 11 So a near death dream equals afterlife? At least she can drum up business and sell books.
Ell Posted March 11 #3 Share Posted March 11 (edited) Click the link provided by Pellinore. Quote 'There is no judgment,' she reports. 'No reward. No punishment. No "You should have done this." Or "You should have done that" Nothing like that at all. Not even a hint. 'Pass/fail and reward/punishment are a human construct. It doesn't belong to your soul. 'Everything is fully accepted, and we just learn from it and try to understand and grow and be loving about everything we've ever done.' The afterlife she describes in my opinion is the same as the dream state: a representation of her own mind. This then is a testimony to the condition and functioning of the mind and as such valueable knowledge. Edited March 11 by Ell 5

There's a lot in the story that doesn't track, but how and why would her present, presumably still alive pet(s), end up in her afterlife? Or was it a pleasant dream? Also, what was the urgent message? 6

papageorge1 Posted March 11 #9 Share Posted March 11 I have long suspected that those that return from what normally should be death come back with a purpose. Hers is to share the message of what she saw and experienced including people like us hearing about it right now in this era of much scientific arrogance. The higher beings get involved in special cases. Hearing about NDEs has been a tremendous positive influence on my life and I am very thankful these people chose to come back. I think it's also important for us logical thinkers to hear of her verifiable details like knowing about family packing, fast food stops and such where she was not physically present. This is not a one-off story, but a repeating pattern in NDE cases.

It is something people hope for, it is how some religions make money, selling this idea. many people who claim to be psychic have claimed to have this kind of experience and make lots of money selling it as well. Because of our fear of death and the possibility of of ceasing to exist it is easy to sell this kind of stuff. I agree with that but it is personal and it bothers me when people try to make their personal experiences global.

All these stories tend to mirror religiously accepted beliefs. Hell is always like in the books. My best guess is that the near death dream is just a reflection of a person afterlife beliefs. Nothing more.
papageorge1 Posted March 11 #20 Share Posted March 11 Side point, but I believe physically living pets can appear in an astral form (OBE). 1

And I bet you pay extra for the autographed edition. 1

Actually, I don't plan to think about this particular case further after this discussion as it follows a pattern I have heard many times before. It's filed for free in my brain as another case in the accumulation that affects my view on reality.
