UM-Bot Posted June 11, 2003 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2003 LAST Sunday proved a good day for monster spotting with no less than three sightings in eight hours — as many as recorded in the whole of 2002. Two of the sightings were from the cruise boat Royal Scot and the third was claimed by a fisherman at around 10pm. All were reported in the Fort Augustus area. katbat Posted June 12, 2003 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2003 The BBC News website is carrying a story that on the Friday before these sightings a white witch, Kevin Carlyon, "slightly" lifted a protection spell he claims to have placed over Nessie in April 2001. The spell was to protect Nessie from scientist Jan Sundberg's attempt to trap her, but seemed to work too well, sightings of Nessie dropped during 2002.
