Fascinating discovery SaRuMaN original.gif

it breathes through its bum. Its rear orifice, called a cloaca, serves as an anus and also conceals its reproductive organs and a pair of gill-like sacs.

that sounds pretty cool - i'm glad we don't breath through our rears - it would smell pretty bad then again it might prompt some people to bathe more regularly - sounds like inbreeding to me original.gif

Thats a good discovery, but breathing through its bum, I wonder how long it can hold its breath if it does fart?

Its great that this turtle has made a reappearance, its great when creatures that were thought to be extinct are found alive.
