The Roswell Incident: Declassified

Recommended Posts

Jim Wilson: Knowing that old military records often contain startling revelations, we were eager to see what surprises awaited us in the latest disclosure from the Roswell files.

For decades, UFO researchers had clamored for the National Archives to come clean about a "flying disc" that supposedly crashed during the Fourth of July weekend in 1947.

Good, it is about time that it was declassified, we'll now be able to see what it has to say about it.

Although if it says that there was never a cover-up, then the UFO enthusiasts will say that the document is to try and steer people away from the truth.

That memo has been declassified and made public since 1976. Not sure why the UK News is presenting it as new.

Notice the date on the memo? 1950. Three years after the Roswell incident.

It's also just based on hearsay. Notice the wording. The agent Hottel didn't see the UFO remnants nor the alleged alien corpses. Rather, it was all "sources reported..."

Thus, second-hand and anecdotal.

Hottel was obviously non-plussed, as he stated he never felt a reason to follow up the report.

Overall, the memo is disappointingly "meh?"

A shame. I'd like to believe too, but....

And the proven-as-hoax alien autopsy photos in the article also don't bode well for The whole thing.

Cheers!

The thing is, there was a cover-up at Roswell. The cover-up was that of the weather balloon which was initially denied. It was to be used for spying during the cold war and kept secret.

Among other items that were explained years ago.
