Criss Angel: Mind Freak

I think Copperfields a better magician,he's alot more skilled than Angel.

Although the thing with the hooks was respected and extreme,I cant really class it as magic, and most of Angels tricks, like Blaines are all second hand or easily accesable to the public.

Was there a secret attachment to the chopper of was he really just hanging from the hooks?I didnt catch the whole show. What a nutter.Ouch,

When you watch Criss Angel you think "How does this guy do it!" and when you watch Copperfield it's more like "I love watching the stuff I've seen a billion times before!"

He is pretty good, but like Magician said, it's ALL explainable, or else he wouldn't be able to do it...

Criss is a great illusionist and will probably be one of the best evr known!

I like it when he digs into your mind and presumes to know what your thinking!.

Yeah, but are they real? In his show, he has shown you that:

Levitation is Real

And if you care to state otherwise, I welcome you to debunk like crazy.

LOOK go to his website crissangel.com and look for merchandice and he has a dvd on levitation, i ordered it and i can levitate too, and i dont have special powers!!!

All of yall who think he has real powers read this and learn how it is done, like i will tell you how it is done if you use your mind you can tell how he levitates up onto a chair.

Good luck making it,but i think it may be harder than expected,.

The balancing of the weight ratio and "power" to lift someone will be very complicated. The hiding of the mechanical parts will be very hard to pull off too.

I love his show and have been watching it forever!

I have been reading a book called "strange but true" by Thomas Slemen

and in one story it recalls a man who levitated I found a link for information

wondering if it is really true? Chriss Angel states some of his magic is magic and some of its mind Hmmmm..Is that possible? either way I find him very entertaining & I would love to own all of his movies.

Thoughts?

Interesting but how does it connect to the criss amgel levitation

Wonder if maybe Chriss has the same ability or it's just another Illusion?

Ahhh, sorry I got confused. If its the levitaion on the chair and wall outside no gimmicked chair/wall is used.

He explains how to do it in his new DVD,but takes a while to make and may cost a bit.

I think theres another post somewhere explaining more. :tu:

Yo DMAN,If its the chair you wanna make IMO its not worth even trying.

The cheapest levitation chair i've seen on the market was about 900 quid and the reviews were quite bad-sound and smoothness of the "secret bits" being a bit dodgy.

The Criss Angel levitation is different and probably better in social situations than gimmicked chairs because of the mobility and off the cuff impact, but it still costs abit for the DVD and to make the gimmick(like most levitation effects <_< apart from Balducci:)

If you do make something like this,(good luck man :tu: )I'de start afresh.

Instead of a chair, maybe use a closet, computer desk, rucksack etc to store the mechanics of the trick. It would be easier to conceal and you could modify all aspects of the effect.

Its good you have a passion for magic. :)

Hi all. I saw Criss Angel for the first time a few weeks ago and I have seen a few episodes already. In my opinion this guy is totally legit. Granted he could have used wires for levitation, when on the street that is, but he did one in an very large open field where he levitated a woman. IF there was wires, where would they have been? Hanging on sky hooks???

And yesterday i was watching his new show Supernatural and on this show he swallowed a quarter and it moved down his arm UNDER his skin, then he took a knife and cut his wrist to have the same coin, which was signed by a bystander, slide out covered in blood. I couldnt think of any explaination for that. As far as them being "tricks", they say we only use 10% of our brain, and if someone could find a way to use more of their brain, say 15, 20, or even 30%, dont you think something like self levitation could be possible???? Same goes for ESP and telekenisis. Until I see deffinitve proof that these acts are actually "tricks", I will firmly beleive that this guy is the real deal. That would be my 2 cents.

I'm also a believer in Angel. As a general skeptic, I've looked at his work very critically and can't find anything (from what I've seen on TV mind you), that makes me question the authenticity of his work....Great show too.

I was captivated by him at first, until after watching the episode where he "crawls" down the side of that huge casino... during one of his "practice" runs you could CLEARLY see some kind of rope/cord coming from his back/waist parallel to the building.

I barely caught it.. but once I noticed it I rewound (DVR) it several times to be sure..

I do have to admit some of the stuff he does is still pretty amazing.. but it's all an illusion.
